so i just found out that the hot girl who wanted on me and whom i wanted on in return, a close friend of 5 years or so, has found mr. perfect who lives where she does.
i'm listening to most of Sea Change and being the standup guy who doesn't lose face and congratulates her on her happiness, and kind of laughing inwardly at the irony of the fact that i can't express my feelings to my best friend because we're going out now, and that would be an awful thing to do.
so i do it on a message board, ha ha ha...jeesus. sea change is sad.
confiscate my brain, mary jane. i don't need to think about anything right now.

casino vs japan sent me a bunch of unreleased stuff when i bought his self titled album. it was really cool of him. i'm impressed by that. i've never shared it with anyone, per his request (the only music anywhere by anyone that i won't share on principle) cuz he says he is gonna release it sometime.

Yeah, Turquoise, you're pretty much conquering musicwise. You have a strangely fresh sound. Nostalgic, yet... new. I'd like to drop some money on your next album.Phasen wrote:I am so high/drunk right now....oh my god. boreal -your music is the shit.

Thanks you guys
you flatter me, really! Aviation Weather is nearly done, I have 3 tracks to finish and the album artwork to whip up. I'll make a post in This Random Sound when I'm going to release it. borealnetwork.net is hooked up with a paypal donation button now so if people like my tunes they can drop some cash my way while they download.
Moodgadget is releasing Treeborhood EP sometime this month i think... not sure. Be sure to check their site for updates too. it's donation-optional too

You mean Aviation Weather pic on the Myspace isn't the actual album art?turquoise70 wrote:Thanks you guysyou flatter me, really! Also, when you say donation-optional, do you mean the music is free? I'm still going to donate - I just think that method is most respectable. Music should be free.

well, to be honest i haven't quite decided. i think the sound of the music i've put together merits a 'darker' album cover than the one i have up on myspace, but time will tell if i can pull that off. it's going to be released with a number of artworks, not just the cover. maybe a collage.CoBoC wrote:You mean Aviation Weather pic on the Myspace isn't the actual album art?

Feeling alive again! Started smoking aged 11, I'm 32 this year ... tried quitting so many times. I have this feeling I have it nailed this time. Almost every part of my life is comfortable and going well and I haven't even had a craving in 6 days. Going to take up swimming and maybe buy a bike too. Have lived a very unhealthy life on the whole ... well, smoking, drinking, dr*gs, that kind of thing ... always ate well and have a strong constitution.
Here's to beating Nick O'Teen
PS: Not sure I ever did thank you for those five tracks you sent me. Been enjoying them a lot. Top work
i decided to quit weed as it just seems to depress me these days. i haven't drank alcohol since the first time i tried it...anyways, i would recommend anyone buying a bike. i have miles upon miles of hills, mountains, old roman roads, woods, forests...ah, i love where i live! xhungry_manweaselbeast wrote:*doffs cap*bleak. wrote:same here!hungry_manweaselbeast wrote:Given up smoking ciggies and weed

I don't drive and have always walked, rode a bike or got public transport but haven't had bike for years now. Perfect reason to get back on the saddle really. Some woods and countryside round here, few areas with megalithic stones and leylines ...bleak. wrote:i decided to quit weed as it just seems to depress me these days. i haven't drank alcohol since the first time i tried it...anyways, i would recommend anyone buying a bike. i have miles upon miles of hills, mountains, old roman roads, woods, forests...ah, i love where i live! xhungry_manweaselbeast wrote:*doffs cap*bleak. wrote: same here!

not bad. still, i have some work to do yet. gotta try some alternatives to see what i like.CoBoC wrote:Dark music doesn't necessarily warrant a dark cover picture. I imagine watching the weather report while a storm outside affects the signal to the TV.
1 song left to record and complete now. it's 61:29 without the last song.
