After about two months of School Bus CD player domination by the mighty Black Moth Super Rainbow's Start a People, Broadcast's Tender Buttons takes the lead.
Seriously, the pop-driven, 2a03 sound and Trisha's dreamy voice is such an awesome formula it makes me mad thinking why this stuff is so underrated(at least in the US, don't know about UK).
Anyone else a fan of 'em?

Really loved The Noise Made By People and Haha Sound but I struggled to get into Tender Buttons. Saw them live a few years ago supporting someone else that I don't remember anything about. Broadcast were great that night.
I almost had a heart attack when I saw this thread! I thought it was the name of the new album!!
Ufff... well.... I'm recovering now...
Needless to say I'm a huge fan.
Tender Buttons was one of the best albums in 2005, difficult to get into at first, specially if you were used to their previous sound as a full band, but then you realize is an amazing record, maybe their best. I still listen to it very often, never tires me.
I'm not sure about how underrated they are in the US.... at least the media always treated them kindly

Yeah, I first got into them through the noise made by people. It wasn't hard for me to hook onto tender buttons because I kinda like that electro sound.
And yes, I could use a new album from them!

Nerdish as I am, I have been known to walk around Birmingham when bored, keeping my eyes open for Trish Keenan.
I'd probably shout "CORPOREAL", thus making a scene before realising I'd got the wrong person.
I enjoy Broadcast. Tender Buttons does not seem as complete as Ha Ha Sound, which has
some of the greatest drumming ever. The best mix of noise and 60's swing. There is an early live bootleg worth checking out when they were 4 musicians. Absolutely ripping guitar. They really sound like a vintage group in that. I'm not quite sure about this new micro line-up, and am kind of lamenting the loss of the band-ness. Bass palyer has got the sound down for sure though. Kind of a Brian Wilson flat picked chunk with delay.
I liked Tender Buttons and Ha Ha Sound but I prefer them back in the old days. I talked to Trish at a gig when they were supporting Stereolab, she was quite charming but now whenever I see anything to do with them she seems a bit... intense.
can someone please to explain to me where i've heard 'lunch hour pops' before? its truly beautiful...but i honestly cant work out where i've heard it...
