Favorite thing to do while listening to BoC and the like?

Post by meat like product »

This may have been discussed in the past but I couldn't find anything related..

I assume most people are going to say just chill out but I could be wrong.

For me I honestly don't care for headphones when I'm listening to BoC.. sometimes though.. it depends on my mood. Anyway, my favorite thing has to be cranking the campfire headphase from the surround sound downstairs on a day when the weather is awesome, with all the doors and windows open while I do something out in the yard like playing with my dog, paint, study, etc. And the whole neighborhood gets to enjoy it :D

What about you guys?

Lay in my bed in the dark. Headphones are a must for me.

I enjoy that also but there's nothing better than tossing a frisbee to my dog while listening to hey saturday sun and peacock tail.

Outside. A stunning view. Sunrise or sunset (either works). Sometimes in company, sometimes not. Food. Drink. Small fire. Smiles.

Or...

Driving late at night. Either through deserted streets, or better still, across the New Forest here in England with the Moon shining on the horizon.

Anywhere and everywhere. Depends on the song. I guess my fav place would have to be on hikes anywhere.

For the majority of BoC, especially stuff from A Few Old Tunes (*gasp!* but it's my favorite BoC of all) and The Campfire Headphase, I like to be outside while listening to it. On stuff like Geogaddi I don't mind either way and often inside is better.

Welcome Qualia, and no worries - some of us in here actually love Campfire too (just whisper it quietly...)

Something like this... specially driving late at night, or walking late at night, it is such a wonderful way of experiencing BoC music.... (I still remember Skytree's posts talking about his night wanderings through the woods with TCH :) )

and I would add another powerful location for me as well: the beach. I always associate Satellite Anthem Icarus to the beach at dusk, completely focused listening to it the first day it appeared, the canned waves blending with the sound of real waves.... a magical moment.

Now it's with headphones while surfing the internets. I have a wife and 5-month old, so I can't crank it out anymore unless they're gone.

Spacing out around the campfire on various psychedelics..or just jammin in my room on the computer or whatnot. Also, on long drives/rides/etc 8)

I love listening to it on long rides! I really love it when I'm about to fall asleep in the car, and I'm in that half-asleep/half-awake dreamworld combined with the sights going by.

I like to listen to MHTRTC while hanging out with people, or just hanging around the house...the Headphase deserves a hot summer day out in the fields and for me...and of course the night of that day is spent around the campfire in the forest...
Black then White are all I see in my infancy...Red and Yellow then came to me, reachin' out to me, lets me see...
