been trying to join this board for a while now..but my old computer never let me on..anyways i have a new laptop so here i am! as my friends would tell you i talk about boards of canada way too mcuh.. (on my facebook under religion i got boards of canadism down) ..im always sooooooo stoked when i hear other people are driving past and have them playing in the car or wahtever. last year i was in edinburgh and seen some kid wearing a boards of canada t-shirt...i was soo close to stopping him and saying what a funkin cool t-shirt he had on. i did a 9 week trip to south america earlier this year and as my ipod was wiped a day or two before i left i only bothered loading like 4hours of boards of canada music onto it..it was alright though didnt get sick of them.. i even got to play them plugged into the speakers at the 'worlds highest microbrewery' in la paz, bolivia.. they went down pretty well! i have been obsessed with them since like 2001ish when i worked in a surfboard factory and stole (i know its wrong but it was only a cd-r copy) of dead elvis by death in vegas.. the cd case that was empty under the one i stole said boards of canada- music has the right to children on it..i guess someone else had stolen it already!! but as i found dead elvis so dope i went and bought it when i was in hmv one day...on the first listen i was like 'what the fuck is this!!' as all real great albums do though it got better and better with every listen..now im obsessed! anyways ill be checking in for news of a new release every so often as is everyone else no dount! fuck, im in real need of some new boards of canada and mf doom!! peace out x

cheers man! just checking out ya music..digging travel by clouds for sure..like the drums alot! i been thinking alot bout making music..trying to get something i can feel comfortable with as an outlet ..got me an mpc500 which is confusing as hell..so been fucking around on acid pro for a while but never finished a whole track yet...just got a bunch of melodys and samples and shit

Heh, thanks man. Ya, I use Acid Pro as well. The reason you like the drums in Travel By Clouds so much is because I sampled them from She is P from Old Tunes. So I can't take full credit for that. But Hidden Mana and a White Pebble took me a long time to work up the percussion and get it the way I wanted, but the atmospheric melody is sampled from Skyliner.
