I've never heard of Helios. Could you recommend an album to start with?

Lol, he only has one it's called "Unomia", I highly recomend it. He also has an album out called "Corduroy Road" under the alias Goldmund, but it's very minimal piano pieces. I still think his unreleased stuff is the best. There's numerous topics about him here, so hunt those down and I believe robotanalysis posted a lot of good covers and remixes of Boc tracks he did.

His website has been down for a while, but he usually has about a dozen or so unreleased tracks available for download. I'm assuming it'll be up and working again soon for his new release.

Yay! :D Bright nuws.

Interesteing to see that that he continues to use occasional swedish references in his titles. "Vargtimme" is swedish for "the hour before dawn" or "hour of the wolves". Just so you know. 8)

Acre is run by Ten and Tracer, who has been away for a bit. I haven't spoken to the lad in months. Hopefully he didn't give up on music.

Transmitted Vibrations is'nt an actual release. It's a compilation of his website tracks that someone put on Slsk.

this is great news! Helios has yet to dissapoint me, Unomia is among my favorite albums in this genre. Be sure to check out his unreleased stuff as well, for example Caecus is simply awesome..

funny thing with those swedish titles.. like Sunes Christmas =)

very nice artwork as already mentioned, these news just made my day.

So do we still have no idea about the release date of Helios' new one? The sound samples are excellent.

I pre ordered mine from Boomkat, and it says "ships in 42 days" which is May 31st. I don't know the exact release date, but it's somewhere around there.

Well, if I can find and start dating an AA employee I will be there with you in a jiffy. I feel like I'm geographically screwed when it comes to live music. If you don't like country or top 40.. Utah is just not the place for the independent sensibility.
