Most promising electronic artists

Post by psikotrip »

Ok here we post the artists that we believe will be the most promising in the near future and why...

Even if he isin't that recent I'll start with Venetian Snares. I listen to his "older" stuff and it was some pretty hardcore drum'n'bass, drill'n'bass or whatever you want to call it. Fastforward to this year and he comes out with "Rossz Csillag allat szuletett" which is realllllly good. It's a step further in his career. He has a lot of talent and he seems to finally get somewhere with his music.

Another artist I really like, even if he has always been there but I haven't seen any mention of on the board is Simon Posford. Seriously an electronic music god. He has tons of pseudonyms like Hallucinogen, Shpongle and Younger Brother and all of his releases have been excellent. I'm sure his new material will be fantastic.

What about you guys, who should we follow for future releases?

Brothomstates is definately going places.. I have everything he's done and it is some of my most treasured stuff...

I don't like everything that Chris Clark has done, but he has made some amazing stuff, like the song 'Rob Lee' off the 'Ceramics is the Bomb' ep. I'm definately interested to see what his future work has in store.

I'd be pretty suprised if any of you have heard of 'Hrdvsion', but I dig his stuff right now and his sister is one of my best friends. He's released some vinyl's on the European label 'Plak' as well as some local BC labels. His newest EP 'Sick Memory' is his best work in my opinion.

Ciaran Byrne, I dig everything I've heard of yours and I think you are a genuine talent... I hope you go onto big things!

Maybe we should define promising to be artists that *haven't* released a bunch of records and toured worldwide :)
