Is ANYTHING better for sex music than Boards of Canada?
I can't think of anything.
Boards of Canada imbues the experience with a sublime animalistic, yet magical and spiritual quality like no other music can do. It's actually pretty damn amazing.
By the way, I'm talking about deep, emotionally connected sex (lovemaking?) here, not gang-banging. Try some shitty electro for that.
Anyone else agree or disagree?
(PS Sorry if this topic has been made before)

And.. so long as this thread doesn't get pornographic (verbally or otherwise), ya'll are fine as far as I'm concerned.
first time i had sex with my current girlfriend was to geogaddi.
it actually made the experience a little more awkward than it should have been.
ALSO.....
cupz, ive had sex to your music... and it was damn good! how does that make you feel?

BoC could work for me, but it'd have to be a CD consisting of carefully picked songs, because I'm gonna get a lot less horny if The Smallest Weird Number is playing.
Songs that would work:
Orange Romeda: A dreamy rhythm and melody...wow...
Open The Light: Tranquil, happy ...perfect.
Satellite Anthem Icarus: I just think it works.
Pete Standing Alone: Again, a nice upbeat tune, this one is my favorite for this so far.
Aquarius: I don't think I need to explain this one, but I might have to be prepared for whatever reaction my partner would have to all the "orange" and the counting. Hopefully she's ignoring the music by now. Or, even better, enjoying it.
Peacock Tail: I think this is probably BoC's closest thing to a love song.
Dayvan Cowboy: Three words: Gradual cymbal climax.
Heard from Telegraph Lines: A lullaby. This would be a fine song for after, when I'm holding her in my arms, reinforcing that something good just happened (And maybe we should do it again sometime?)
Songs that would NOT work:
Sixtyten: "It's all right" "WHATS HAPPENING?!" - What, am I raping her now?
In The Annexe: I wouldn't really be surprised when she thinks I'm a serial killer now. This is not sex music. This song is... otherworldly.
Music Is Math: I hate to say it, but even though this song is totally pretty, it's too 'dark' for what we're up to. This kind of pretty is reserved for times of study, or introspection.
Yeah, the 'no' list would be pretty long. BoC's not your conventional sharing music, and even less so between the sexes (at least when you're trying to invoke a lovemaking mood.)
She'd have to be a pretty special girl.
