It reminds me of Aztec Camera and Belle and Sebastian (a bit). It sounds like Scot's indie basically and you can be pretty sure Mike and Marcus have a fair bit of that in their collection.

Agreed - sounds pretty good. I'm not familiar with Win, the Fire Engines are a bit of a cult band - they're name-checked in LCD Soundsystem's Losing My Edge and released an "indie-er-than-thou" split 7" with Franz Ferdinand a while back that was OK. I vaguely rememember hearing some Nectarine #9 on John Peel years ago and liking what I heard.

Nice to hear BoC branching out a bit.

At first it did nothing for me, but I listened last night and sounded great - it's music I want to listen to outside on a hot summer's day while drinking cool lemonade.

my copy arrived today. i am loving here come the rubber cops, not liking outta place again. opa sounds like it was not even produced at all more like some drunk demo.

for starters it is not a 12 inch, it's a 7 inch. And the exact credits on the record are: ALL TRACKS COMPOSED BY D.HENDERSON / RECORDED AND PRODUCED BY MIKE SANDISON AND MARCUS EOIN AT HEXAGON SUN
