I just started a work term at the institute for ocean technology, a branch of the national research council in canada. I pretty much just help with computer and network security issues.

I'm a programmer. I just got back from living in Australia for a year, now I'm back in the States, resting a bit and looking for a new job. Thinking of doing something new, my last few jobs have been working on some fairly boring stuff, but I do like coding, so maybe I just need to make sure I find a company doing something interesting.

Corner shop jobs are nice and easy going. go for it.

I have Bipolar and Fibro Myalgia, it's a fun combination. Stress makes my fibro myalgia destroy me with pain, and bipolar makes me easy to stress out. It's a fun combination.

That sucks man and I'm sorry.

A close friend of mine was recently diagnosed with fybro myalgia. At first it completely crippled her but she's doing much better now.

I have a pretty serious neurological problem but hopefully I'll never have a symptom (fingers crossed).

anyway, on topic.. I work for a neurosurgery/neurology clinic doing computer crap.

hi i just came in here to say that i hate finals. i hate them. i HATE them, i fucking HATE them. they are killing me.

i know a lot of you have probably weathered trials a zillion times worse in your lives, and i definitely have had it worse than a couple of shitty tests/papers/presentations, but that doesn't stop me from hating them.

i hate finals.

I work as a freelance AutoCAD drafter for civil and structural engineers. Soon I'm going to be getting involved with some architectural drafting as well. Been doing it for coming on 4 years now. Anyone need a drafter over in the UK, I'll be glad to relocate!

i work in a pharmacy, the most fascinating part of the job for me is coming across all these different people, different problems - some people have bags full of medication in order to function correctly. it plays with my mind a lot..

my town is full of old aged pensioners - they wander into the pharmacy, make their way up the counter and slur out some words...but no, some have the most interesting stories, i cant help but feel sorry for them...anyways, thanks for the compliment on my music, absolutely adore your 1986 summer fire remix saturday index!

graphic designer / pre press specialist: i've been doing this since 97. the first 3 jobs of course were middling. the last place i worked at in north hollywood was probably the best one... i was there from 2005 to 2007. we worked with a lot of studios, models, hollywood hopefuls, musicians, adult entertainment studios as well. i was made senior designer there before the move to florida.

where i'm at now in florida is more corporate, more laid back, but not challenging at all... pretty much a boring place. i'm not a senior designer there, i have to keep my mouth shut most of the time because the lead designer tries to tell me things to do and i'm like "sure ok!" but i continue to do things my way unbeknowngst to her. what i really don't like about their system is that when someone starts a project and submits it for proofing, sometimes it will come back with a modification and anyone can pick it up and work on it... i tried to change the system saying "it would make more sence for the job to stay with the person who originally worked on it and for him or her to continue to work on it until the job is sent for print!"... but for some reason they can't comprehend that... i've been there a year and i've been saying this the whole time!

they also talk about shit like baking pies and "suzy homemaker" crap... i normally zone out, put headphones on and think to myself, "graphic designers don't talk about this shit!" hell, they want to do a pumpkin carving contest... i walked out of the office at that point!

what i do like about this place is that management gives me all the complex, creative jobs! because no one else in the office is creative... and they're all college grads... sans me!
