Turns out I'm subscribed:
Big thank you to all for supporting lone and his album release, the euphoric "lemurian" which has received amazing reviews, response and airplay across the globe.
The man himself Matt Cutler is currently putting the finishing touches to forthcoming 12" 'cluster dreams' set for release later this year.
"warped out 80's jheri curl disco vibes" - Billy Ocean
The E.P. is a natural progression for lone whilst stepping it up for the dancefloor with possibly the funkiest bass line of the year on 'fly fire rainbow'. The E.P. is also complimented with an astounding remix of the early 'midnight feast' by warp latest signing Bibio.
The song (from lone's debut album 'everything changes colour') is a heartwarming rendition played on the guitar in a style that only Bibio is capable of, rounding of the record to true artistic perfection. (ok ste, just cos the gig's in shoreditch, that don't mean you have to go off on a cliched arty farty tangent..) but honestly, It's hard to find the words. I love it. its dope. I hope your ears find it just as pleasing.
So if your around in london town this Friday night come join us, lone, Bullion and Coki for another adventure in New Bohemia!!

easy now fellas!
All this angstyness!
Running a record label is a fine line between collapse and success (non-collapse!)
if there are delays, there are so many factors which affect the release that you shouldn't take it out on the label so aggressively. Could be one of a number of things....
Warp signing Bibio! Hells yeah! makes sense I guess, the connections are there, Clark-BoC and the music is pretty special (if a bit polarizing taste for some!)
Pretty syncable too (adverts etc...) which I am sure hasn't escaped Warps attention
Safe.

The EP and LP are delayed because of mush. They've been inactive for a while and are only just starting to get active again, apparently down to a switch of distributor. The delay has nothing to do with anyone else, not bibio, nor any erm... UK label.john fonda wrote:what is happnen with the album and ep so?
A label isn't going to announce a new signing until a signature has gone down, these things can take time. Remember, when unofficial news leaks out to the public, it has often gone through 'chinese whispers' filters or otherwise just exaggerated. Dealmaker had announced something that wasn't up to it to announce. Sometimes *official* news is sent out... like mush announcing both bibio records being out in middle of '08. Not everything you read is 100% true, unfortunately.john fonda wrote:warp got strange habits in terms of announcing thangs...

Not sure if anyone else caught this but there's another tune off of the new album here-

It's called "The Ephemeral Bluebell" and it's quite lovely as well.
