Is this a mix-tape as in:
a) the old fashioned "Put together an interesting collection of tunes people may not have heard, but not actually mixed into one piece" or
b) full-on mixing in the truest sense?
Either? Neither? Just so I am clear.
Don't wanna sign up and then find I disappoint people.
PS - I did option a) a while back on another message board and we all included a little gift to represent where we were from. Something small, cheap, but interesting. You keep the gift you receive and pass on something new when you post off your tape. Everyone gets a little keepsake from another part of the World. Could be as simple as a beer mat, postcard, a local newspaper, photograph, coin/bank note whatever. Just something easy to post which someone in another part of the World might think was cool. Just a thought..

to answer the question:
I was just thinking that it could be open ended. found sound, noise, a straight up mix, a tape bought at an estate sale. so as far what the regulations are for the one side that is recorded
it is open to whatever the heart desires.
i LOVE the idea of passing on a little keep sake...it goes along with very personal nature of the whole idea. tapes seem to be something that no one really circulates that much anymore. there is something so very personal about a tape that i love. the idea of sending on something else adds to that the personal touch.
so by show of post who is all in again?

Knowing that you are still onboard makes it all the better!turquoise70 wrote:Agreed. I will look for some tapes in the near future and if I manage to find something, I will get one started and post about it here. Getting stuff started is always the hardest part
Yes. Getting stuff started is the hardest part, however, I have full faith in this forum.
