It's Bibio's MHTRTC, being his masterpiece. It also has shades of Geogaddi, being incredibly mature and polished.

It's aaamazing. 'Weekend Wildfire' is like a beautiful dream.

Sounds like he's come on a long way in the past couple of years. Duly ordered.

Didn't get along with either Fi or Hand Cranked that much. Think they were just a little too scratchy for my tastes. New one sounds that much more fully realised. And there was me thinking I'd have to wait ages for anything to match Merriweather Post Pavilion this year. :)

For those that don't have it yet--looks like the whole thing is up streaming on mush's website now--check the album page.

Sounds very nice, quite subtle with lots of underlying layers which is great. Going to be listening to this one a lot, think I'll purchase the vinyl too.

Skytree wrote: Overall though, I'm actually kind of surprised that his sound has changed so little since "Fi". Not that it needs to, I suppose...I'll still definitely snag the record.
Damn, I feel silly for writing that after having heard the album. This new album is far, far beyond anything Bibio's done until now. This is one of the best surprises I've had in a while (Bibio's old stuff is good, but not nearly this good). Wish I'd held out for the vinyl, actually. Anyone want a brand new copy of the CD? ;)
