I love that game. I play it on the Project 64 emulator all the time. It was the first game launched with the system along with Super Mario 64.

I only can recommend what everyone else has already said..with extra emphasis on CHRONO TRIGGER for SNES.

And Super Metroid..Earthbound..Contra 3..eh I'll shut up. I'm clueless for N64 anyway.

Perfect Dark for the N64, probably my favourite all time game (though I've nearly finished Metal Gear 4 and WOW!). As for the SNES, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are amazing but probably near impossible to buy...emulation  Then there's the obvious choices of Super Mario World and Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Can't fault hills' list there. Loved my SNES more than pretty much any console (okay, maybe excluding Vectrex). Soulblazer FTW!

Equally hard to find as 'Sin and Punishment' is 'Bakuretsu Muteki Bangai-O' by Treasure on N64. Awesome game and full of Japanese weirdness. Also loved 'Blast Corps' by Rare.

I'd say Modern Castlevania is Metroid styled mapping

I'm playing it on my super-haxxored-xbox as we speak.

emulation is great, but there is no substitute for playing on original hardware. for example, the sega megadrive/genesis sound on emulation never sounds quite as good as running through the real synth chip on the original hardware.
