I watch about 3 hours a week but mostly a replay version via the internet because most of the programs I like to see are on when I'm not home.

It depends what mood I'm in. Today I got in from work and just put Radio 4 on, tomorrow I might veg in front of the telly for a few hours. All told across the week I bet I watch about... 10 hours of tv, something like that. Having said that I'm out for the house for quarter to 7 and not back till about quarter past 7 then the weekend is devoted to all the little menial tasks that didn't get done in the week so I don't really have the time anyway.

For the last few weeks I have watched everybody loves Raymond for the time it takes to eat a bowl of cereal, before work. That is all the TV I have seen for a while.
That show is annoying because even though I hate it, it makes me laugh sometimes.

Ever since my parents got sky+ my television consumption has rocketed.

The BBC are excelling right now as far as I'm concerned with interesting and sometimes (really sometimes) even relevant documentaries. A couple of their comedies are excellent too - "Not Going Out" which is on Mondays, BBC1, 10, is hilarious, and SOME of their dramas are also great - "Hustle" for example was the reaaaal shit. Panel shows like Mock the Week, QI, etc, and things like live at the apollo. All good.

oh yeah. the bbc's in my good books this year.

Taggart on STV is also fun to watch.

Anything else is shit.

it seems to me that a lot less people are watching tv, with most shows going to the web nowadays. just kind of curious if tv will still be around in the coming years. it seems like most shows can be downloaded or viewed online, leaving not much left that's really exclusive to tv. i wonder if we'll all be telling our grandkids about the days we used to watch all our entertainment on the tv with things like the tv guide channel and shows devoted to advertising (30 min infomercials). now that i think about it, i realize how funny television has become.

i've found myself watching less and less tv over the last two or three years. i only watch the office (which i usually miss and end up watching on hulu) and the occasional family guy or seinfeld every so often. i guess i still enjoy putting on the discovery channel, national geographic, or the history channel when there's something interesting on, but i find even those having more and more shows i dislike.

Don't own a television...don't watch it.

Never going back, either.

I watch a lot of documentaries. Art, political, social, sexuality... there's a lot of interesting stuff out there.

I've been enjoying a HBO series called In Treatment. It's basically two people in a room talking for half an hour. The Top Gear Vietnam special was aired here a few weeks ago, that is certainly a TV highlight of mine. :D

Used to watch none, but I've recently started really digging The History Channel and Cartoon Network.

The NASA channel has been an incredible source of information, awkward lulz, and eye-dazzling images. In many ways, I consider it to be ambient television. The educational programming and ISS mission coverage is HILARIOUSLY awkward. It really shows how uncomfortable those folks who have been so brave as to dwell in space itself really must be, seeing as they're being watched 24/7. :B
