He was truly a slow mind, in the best of ways.
Man, can you imagine a Kubrick movie set to SOTL?!? Good call Skytree!!

Coincidentally, I dug my vinyl out for the first time, yesterday. It's brilliant.

His Epic 45 remix is astounding. It's so Boards of Canada. I love it.

yea beauty beauty beauty
you guys know the snippets are extended? Well i always wondered what the next line for the last snippet would be (that beautiful one he is singing in). I kept on repeating it in my player to create that precious homesick feeling and because of the repeating kind of got used to him singing the same line a couple of times. It turned in me kind of expecting it. Now it's extended and the next line is sooo different haha it was almost a shock to me. :) But its so so so beautiful. I love Bibio.
expect nothing and live frugally on surprise.

It was released on a remix 12" - I'll upload my vinyl rip if anyone wants the MP3. I want a CD release, though!

!wow!

i just heard bibio's warp sampler and i am impressed

because

i'm hearing some tunes that remind me of all of my bibio experience up till now - drifty daydreamy guitar music with some 'organic' sounding synth pads and whatever, doesn't really hold my attention, makes me want to do something violent or bust a groove to break the sunshiny malaise

!but!

i am also hearing some fat ass beats and funky rhythms. if bibio delivers sexy beats and pingy tweengy synth sounds, i am down for for this new record. if it's just more lazy "i'm too tired to get up" folky guitar anthems screw it, i'd rather take a nap than listen to that

Listened to the sample again... i can't wait for this

I need it now, like seriously! Give it to me right this second, or I'm crackin' skulls.

Nice.

Did Bibio by any chance delete his Facebook page? Can't seem to get there anymore: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bibio/86428164592

When you search Facebook for Bibio and click the link, you get redirected to home page.

Yeah Bibio is amazing, he'll tell you anything you wanna know.. I also don't like the terms "folktronica" or even "hippietronica" ... I've been recording a lot with guitars lately, its really relaxing and opening in a way.

Same here...though I have to admit my music would probably be better described by those terms, as constricting as they are.

New Bibio, plus a fascinating - but complex - insight on how he made it. http://www.modelart.ie/relay/bibio.html
