Sorry to piss on your bonfire (so to speak), but I seriously doubt this is footage of a red moon night. ATP festivals take place at Minehead in Somerset (and previously at Camber Sands in Sussex). I expect this bonfire is most likely one of many that have taken place regularly at ATP events on Minehead (or Camber Sands) beach over the years. A couple of years back Grizzly Bear even did an impromptu set on the beach at Minehead (though there wasn't a bonfire involved)saurus wrote:Looks brilliant this doesMight be me being obsessive but around the 30 second mark there's a night vision snippet of a bonfire... they wouldn't have footage of red moon gatherings/BOCfires though right? Plus check the dj turning his head immediately after...

Latest update from WarpFilms:
Hi all,
The latest news on the forthcoming UK premiere of the All Tomorrow's Parties film is that the concert section will feature live music, bingo, DJ’s including Belle and Sebastian's Chris Geddes, and will culminate in a very special headline set from a top-secret Scottish act.
Tickets are on sale now for either the Screening + Concert or just the Concert on its own. Click here for full info and ticket links:

It's a small venue so get them quick if you want to come!
thanks

Cheeky scamps. What d'ya all reckon? Mogwai would be nice.

I first heard this same news from a tweet by Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai. It seems unlikely he would allude to his band as being the top-secret Scottish act to ruin the surprise, but it's a possibility.
As much as I'd love for it to be BoC, it seems more likely they'd play at Warp 20, if anything at all. It's improbable to get one act, much less two.

Cheers fella - any decent restaurant tips would be gratefully received. Enjoyed a place on the Royal Mile called "Wee Windaes" a while back, but it's been a while.A_Northern_Soul wrote:Hmm..... I liked the look of this event anyway, before any potential BoConnection - might HAVE to go now. The potential is there - "Surprise guests" + a Warp film + ATP, which BoC have played + it being home territory.![]()
PS - Mexicola, if you want tips for bars, restaurants etc, give me a shout.
See you at the bar (hic)

I've created a proper news item for this event at the bocpages, as I was contacted by a member of atpfestival.com with an inquiry about adding a news item to my site.

Beware: this does not necessarily imply BoC will be the top-secret Scottish act, but it would be really nice if turns out to be true!
