Yeah, is anybody interested in buying a kidney? I'd offer my liver as well, but it's pretty damaged. :lol:

decode

Post by lt.den »

i think we have to work together to decode this puzzle!!
here´s some info that i´ve collected the last days:

-watmm-

Skytree
quote: maybe it has to do with GPS??
As far as I can tell, that's a negative.
GPS is in one of three formats:
* Deg/Min/Sec ex: [30° 17' 28" N, -97° 44' 18" W ]
* Decimal Degrees/WGS84 ex: [N30.29128, W-97.73858]
* GPS coord ex: [N30 17.477 W97 44.315 ]
Edit: I'll wait to hear back from the GIS specialist, though

BunnyRabbit
Had proper look at his last night.
I'm thinking maybe a one-time pad XOR type of thing.
Four groups of 4, 7, 6 & 3 in ASCII looks like each group could easily map to a word.

What can we summise?

The link is on the contacts page under the address where you can send you mail. So, we could say that this link is to do with contacting them.

The date is a Saturday and the red moon must be a refence to the red moon parties we've all heard about. I dunno about you but Saturday is party night to me and this is not long before the summer soltice on the 21st and one day off a full moon.

And then there's this encrpyted message.

If we crack the message and it tells us exactly where then I think they might have problems. If thousands turn up then it's just not going to work. So I don't think the deciphered message will be so simple.

Given that it's on the contacts page I think the message when decrypted will give an instruction on how to apply to go to this event - which will be ticketed.

Either way we need to do is crack the message. Unless it's uncrackable and the key will be supplied through another channel later on...

wankfoot
i believe it relates to wavelengths and half-lifes, not co-ordinates...

-newstoday (pvn)-
BoC code

its the MoD location code for the peak of Ben Nevis where they will be broadcasting worldwide and to a select group of listeners arranged on the slopes...
kelpie
(Apr 4 06, 07:43)

-some things i discovered-

code expressed in ascii-hexadecimal:
g60h -> 67 36 30 68
p5-2omh -> 70 35 2d 32 6f 6d 68
g2h2.t -> 67 32 68 32 2e 74
0-n -> 30 2d 6e

the hexadecimals into decimals:
103 54 48 104
112 53 45 50 111 109 104
103 50 104 50 46 117
48 45 110

nothing matched with the coordinates of ben nevis (tried wikipedia.com)

some numbers matched with frequency/wavelength but other don´t

took a spectrogram from skyliner.mp3 but nothing happenend (f.e. : no afx demon face)

i´m totally confused..
let´s keep up the good work!!

I'm in the process of checking by brute force for an 'obvious' XOR encryption.

By obvious I mean two lines of english XOR'd togetgher to give the gibberish.

I've written some code to chunter through looking for that but nothing yet.

It's unlikely anyway, but I thought I'd try and eliminate it. It could still be XOR but the key would be un guessable.

I've also checked Caeser/Rotation/RotN encryption but nothing much came of that either.

Next on my list is Vigenere.

the date listed doesn't correspond to the full moon by the way. the full moon is listed as starting at june 11, 2006 @18:04. i can't believe we haven't had a "I figured it out, but won't tell you guys" yet.

Hopefully I'll be able to provide you with just such a posting soon :twisted:

Joke!

Seriously, I think this probably needs more info before it can be cracked.
