Because, the only face I can see in the cover is the spooky one at the very top(and which is continued round the kaleidoscope image), and I saw it the first time I ever looked at the cover of 'Geogaddi', before I'd heard a note of the music. And the face is pretty obvious, so I'm starting to think is there another face in there I haven't noticed?
well i don't see any face, so i'm talking about the fact that i personally see no face whatsoever, and that i pose the theory that those who do see a face are merely being sucked into the whole BoC mythology and seeing something because they want to.
and then my rant goes on to the pure and simple fact that no-one knows what the devil looks like since it's debatable whether the devil exists at all.
but, i bet you can see those Magic Eye pics...am i right?

Right, for starters I don't think lawrenke actually meant 'The Devil', I think he just used the word to describe the face as something sinister and scary(which it is to be fair). And, I noticed the face the first time I ever saw the cover, back when it came out first in Feb 2002, before a lot of the BOC mythology took off. Incidentally, the face is at the very top of the cover, between the two men. The trees in the original picture now look like a frowning, demonic, scary looking face. Look again, it's really easy to see(to me anyway, and yes, I can see those magic eye pics )
i gots a big enough version of the artwork looking at me all the time nope, i still don't see it.
i'm glad someone can actually see those godawful magic eye things...they just make my eyes hurt. or maybe i'm doing it wrong, like those eponymous lolcats
I'm gonna go with The Campfire Headphase, but it's close with Geogaddi. I love the weathered look of it, it makes me feel like I'm carrying around a really old artifact. And it's my favorite album ever, so I can't imagine what it will look like in 20 years.

Fair enough Oscillik, you can't see the face(even though, I can still see it on the poster from the picture of your room!!) We'll leave it at that so.
Nice posters, they look good on those plain frames. Today my 6 years old daughter asked me about why I have 2 Geogaddi-CDs, and she told me that limited edition was the most beautiful record cover/artwork she has ever seen ...so i guess one more little vote for Geogaddi then. )

that Quaristice poster is awesome
thank you very much
although i personally feel that the centrepiece of the room is the A Clockwork Orange poster in the middle
i really need to get some frames for my other posters, but as you can imagine it gets a bit expensive. i got Untilted, The Campfire Headphase, and LP5 posters to put up. i'm running out of room though

Moebius wrote:Agree, Twoism, for how it lifts a singularly striking and poignant moment from a reportedly rather uninspired b-grade sci-fi film. Of course, it is also suggestive of the close bond between Mike and Marcus (ironic that it's from the only release with a third name attached to the group). Finally, it was their first public release, so it's sort of their default visual impression.
