So i was looking through some old photos of my home town, had music playing in the headphones, and Torn Under the Window Light came on, and it almost brought me to tears.

Anyone letting their family members in on the beautiful works of Bibio? I'm gonna try and get my parents hooked, i know they will love Jealous of Roses, that's guaran-damn-teed.

my mom likes Boards of Canada, autechre, some Aphex, and quite a bit of Nine Inch Nails (for a 51 year old, i say that's pretty cool)

i played her some of Ambivalence Avenue last night and she quite likes it. i might have to do her a vinyl rip

my sis loves the new lp. i had it playing whilst i was highlighting her hair. it was hard work getting her to stop nodding her head to the beats

Just got this album and must say he will be saving Warp this summer with this album!
Some of his best work and very different indeed!

Bibio and Mount Kimble on Gilles Peterson tonight, 2-4am (UK time) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/gillespeterson/

I dunno if it's gonna be live or not, usually Gilles pre-records his shows, and sometimes does them live. For those who are new to Gilles Peterson, he's a radio legend, been doing his Worldwide show for about 10 years, plays a leftfield mix of soul, jazz, funk, folk, world, house, dubstep, hip-hop. Best music DJ on the radio.

Ambivalence Avenue is such a solid album after i've listened to it a few times but I really don't think it can beat VTC for me this year. I feel like i'm the only one who thinks this warp debut, although strong, is the lesser of the two albums

i much prefer vtc to be honest. aa is a brilliant album, but it doesnt really click with me.

Ambivalence Avenue is leagues and bounds ahead of anything that Bibio had ever done before, imo.

Why compare them? They both have different merit. I'm just really glad that we're fortunate to get 2 full lengths and an EP from him this year.

And the EP is a different mood again. I'm loving the way that each release feels quite separate from the others. Ambivalence Avenue is definitely a summer record. Vignetting The Compost is autumnal heading into winter. Right now AA is hitting the spot.

Ambivalence Avenue is probably gonna be my record of the year, unless I have a reinvigorated interest in MPP or Veckatimest.

Fantastic. Flying Lotus + Bibio album, if it happened, would be probably one of the greatest things to arise out of alternative elctronic music of this decade, eclipsing most of BoC's work except for MHTR2C. I would fight wars for that album, though Sugarrette is a pretty good idea of how it would sound.
