Hope so! A live show or a DJ set would be perfect! I post too much in this thread, but i can't help it! the guy is simply a genius. Bibio and Flying Lotus are making sure Warp has a bright future ahead!

I just got my hands on ambivalence avenue. wow. I always thought Bibio was very skilled, but mentioned earlier in the thread that I often couldn't sit through a full hour of his guitar noodling...it just got annoying to me after a bit..

However, this new album I am loving! By far my favorite Bibio yet. Funny, cause most ppl on watmm seem to like his older stuff, and not this.

i love them both. AA is something you can listen to on many occasions. but VTC is perfect morning music. You've gotta be in the mood for his first three albums. but they totally have their purpose. and they are awesome for what they are.

Just got AA yesterday. WOW this is produced so well. I am not a fan of the stodgy rhythms on the last 2 tracks. Abrasion is the best track on the album in my opinion, 10/10. LOVE the brief vintage style synth/guitar soloing on those that employ it. This guy is huge!

I have AA for several weeks now, and thought about posting after my first listen, but needed more time to let it sink in completely..

Like his former records, which I desperately loved immediatly, I didn't found the same enthusiastic feeling when listening to it to the first time.
But after a few listens this album grew on me big time. I still gets even better every time I listen to it. It's so amazing. This Stephen has so many qualities. A real talented bloke he is. Check his myspace by the way for an accoustic version of Lovers' carvings, and some nu VPC stuff.

Yeah, I surely love this album a lot! But in a different way as his former work.
Best tracks on it, IMO are: all the flowers, fire ant, abrasion, the palm of your wave.

Still listening to AA months after i purchased it, and still is my favourite album of the year.

Oh yeah, i hope Warp release some Bibio tees in the future, would be nice like!

Same here. Not remotely tired of AA yet, despite it racking up a lot of plays round here. Also helps that it's a record I can play in the bookshop without anyone complaining.

...and i'm glad i did cos its lovely. i can hear the influence of BoC and Flying Lotus but maybe also Ariel Pink plus older references like Sly Stone, Neil Young etc. there's a weird push-pull impulse between traditional song-forms and abstract electronica which is really interesting. nice one!

Jealous of Roses could totally pass off as an Ariel Pink song. I never saw it coming.
