Well you've already heard the music so there's no reason to wait.

I just watched it for the first time and it's amazing - fits the music perfectly.

The video rules and I'm only 30 sec. into it. I think it's fair to say that the gentleman (i can't recall his name right now) that made this skydive has some of the biggest balls known to man.

You can only see his profile, but is the surfer at the end (the one with the board strapped to his feet) the really famous surfer that rode that hundred+ foot tall wave? Again I'm not having any luck coming up with his name.

major dissapointment......

These are just stock video images? I think some of the fan videos are better than this.
I mean the first half was interesting but they didnt even film it... To me it just looked like someone took public domain footage and layered it on a Mac for some school project. The only part I liked was the last camera shot.

Wow, it's great! Fits very nice to the music indeed. I like the skydiving part the most, especially when he goes through the clouds. And the part where he falls in the water is just perfect. :D The part of the song which starts then has a really underwater sound. (if my english was better i would've described this better :P but i guess you get what i mean).
I'm not really into the surfing part tho. It's just to down to earth for me(/boc) i think. But the water effects are beautiful tho. :) They could've left the surfer out in my opinion. The rest is perfect!
And it's really nice that the video quality isn't that good (like the lil' cracks and stuff @ the skydiving part), adds that little touch of boc to it.

I love it anyway, specially the skydiving. :D

I get what you mean, i kinda thought of it that way when the surfing part began. but i really like the first part anyway. It's nicely edited.

It's cool but not mind-blowing, kind of what I expected. Can't wait to see this on DVD and not some tiny video clip!

ya I guess its not fair to be judgemental until the proper DVD is out.

The waves crashing against the camera are really cliche IMO though.

It's unique footage of somebody skydiving from the edge of space in the 1960's. What are they supposed to do - go to the edge of space and film it themselves?

I really like it. It's not quite the same effect as when I first saw "Come to Daddy" or even "Rabbit in Your Headlights," but it was very enjoyable. I'm thinking it will bring me closer to the song as well.

Im not saying that at all. What i meant is that I can go to the library and rent the exact footage myself and that to just use video clips is dissapointing. I was hoping they would use footage they or their friends shot.

As BOC are always mentioning the hard work and long hours they put into their music, with aging processes etc to make it sound old and damaged and as if it came from a sample....
This video seems to contradict everything they have said about that, and to me that is a dissapointment. When I listen to BOC their music is completely unpredictable (or was) with unintelligible instruments and sounds. Their music can only be created by them. Many people have tried to copy their sound but know one has successfully achieved the same mood and strange atmosphere that can be heard in their music. I was hoping for something simillar in video terms but to me this was totally predictable and just cliche

I like it. Gives me chills. I think it has a similar feel to their music... aged, tragic, beautiful... it's not going to win a bloody Music video award, but I don't think that's what they were going for. Keep in mind they didn't really do it themselves (they didn't spend years on it either like they've done with much of their music)... I would've liked to have seen some footage from their early movie making days, maybe some day.

Hey, let me be the first to break it apart and dismantle it to find hidden meanings like we always do here at Twoism:

Check out the hexagons formed by the lens-flare! (I need a life!)

Ya I wasnt expecting them (or melissa olson) to travel to the edge of the world in search of the perfect sunrise to be filmed in super 8 BOC-O-Vision just for the fans. Footage from the early days like in the old video clips on their site would have made me alot happier though.
