It's by Midnight Star. I just realized the reason they chose Midas Touch and Trapped to remix is because there are acapella versions of both tunes available.

that's my favourite remix. :D
i love the way they induced the kind of mystical, egyptian feel with it.
and the "*ding*" in the chorus is just genius

Yeah I love those songs. The second remix of Trapped(hell interface one) is pretty cool in comparison, it's much darker

I don't know if anyone else is has thought about this before, but in the Trapped (Hell Interface Remix), there is this garbled up distortion sound that happens after every snare hit in the beat.

You guys have all played the classic arcade game Defender, right? Well, there is this sound that one of the aliens make, like a weird cackling sound, and I swear that the distorted part in the beat after the snare hits is that very same noise... only a lot more destroyed obviously. :)

Believe it or not, this is one of my favorite of their remixes, right up there (but very much below) their "Broken Drum" mix, which actually is, imo, one of the best things BoC has ever done.

Totally agree. Listened to Broken Drum twice today on the way to work. It's just sooo good. I can see why Beck almost decided to put it on the album instead of his original. And i love the trapped and midas touch remixes. They're just so cheesy yet dark.

Broken Drum, Last Walk Around Mirror Lake, and Dead Dogs Two, I thought were all killer. They were all obvious hints at the direction they would be taking with The Campfire Headphase.

Last year I burnt several cds with just random music on them, and all 3 of these remixes ended up on a lot of them! I use to love listening to them while driving around.

my favorite remix by m and m (and one of my favorite of their songs) is the dead dogs two remix...try taking the vocals out....the middle guitar melody has gotta be a campfire headphase outtake...

Midas Touch is great!
And you know, I was never a huge fan of Trapped until about two or three days ago. I wasd driving home from somewhere and the words came into my head. As soon as I got home, I put it on and really liked it.

I found this great video for Midus Touch fans. Someone's re-edited the original video with the BoC mix, excellent.

I picked up the Midas Touch a capella 7" for 10p in a charity shop.

True story!
