It's mid summer and people go and went on vacation.

I'm going to leave for italy in a couple of hours. Going to stay there for 2 weeks with my family. :D

italy... that sounds blissful. Where about?

I have a very boring summertime at the moment. But October is going to make up for it big time, take a look at this:
weekend 1: going to Riga, Latvia with my sister-in-law! Just booked the tickets, city looks amazing!
weekend 2: going to see Kings of Convenience live in Paradiso, Amsterdam with my brother.
weekend 3: doing another weekend trip with another good friend, probably Ireland or Scotland..
weekend 4: going to see Epic45 live in Hoogeveen with my brother as well!

I can't wait, it's been way too long that i've been able to flee from the feckless & ferocious flatness of the f-ing Fetherlands. (sorry i just felt the urge to alliterate   )

Last place i went on vacation was December 2006 to New York, was excellent and I've been many times before as well. Absolutely love Roxys! They make the greatest desserts, Central Park is also lovely at night, at Christmas, festive songs are playing, reminds me of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

In the future, I'd like to go back. But i wanna go to other parts of the world too, like Germany or Holland. Would love to travel around the UK more... haven't been to the Lake District for like 9-10 years.

If any of you ever come to the UK in the future, come to Manchester, it's a lovely place, great musical history as well. Just don't come to Bolton though, unless you like wet weather and late buses (and when the bus arrives, usually 2-3 come at once, so annoying)

I'm curious to see how 91 plus' trip went, he seemed pretty psyched. I haven't vacationed at all this summer, hopefully Italy in the winter though.

I just got a few days back from my holiday in Slovenia. Such a beautiful country. Pure nature, mountains, clear streams (which you can easily drink), eternal snow, great temperatures. Every day round 30 degrees. A real recommendation!

Tomorrow I will go to Switzerland with my wife for a week. We go by train, which would be an big adventure on its own. Looking forward to it!

I'll post some pics when I get back from Switzerland from both holidays.

Have a nice holiday y'all!

Hey all.

Wanting a simple adventure my friend and I drove to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, US.

We hiked down the South Kaibab Trail on a Wed. morning. Reaching the floor of the Canyon by 2:30 or so in the afternoon. Explored the Bright Angel Campground.

It was a beautiful day and I took a picture.

People talk about getting the Avatar "blues."

We had to hike out the next day.

Try leaving that reality behind.

Wyn - you're going to have a blast matey!! Very, very jealous! Keep in touch bro. :D

Iwishimademovies - that's one incredible photo. I've seen the Grand Canyon but didn't have the time to hike down, something I still regret. Totally understand the reality-shock you must have faced.

For my part, we just booked our Honeymoon last week. Three weeks in Vietnam. One week kicking back on the island of Phu Quoc (yes, you do pronounce it how you think)

Image

and then 2 weeks travelling up to the North to see Ha Long Bay

Image

and then Sapa.

Image

Been too long since I was last there and I can't wait.

:D

Do it man! Been four times now since 2004 and it just gets better and better and better...
Flights aren't cheap, but's it's stupid-cheap once you get there. So many reasons to go I can't even begin to tell you. :D

I'm not the travelling type, but yes, those last two pictures look so perfect that they could have been raytraced renders.

Helloooo Twoism!

I've been AWOL for over a month :D

.. did an amazing roadtrip along the southeast coast of South Africa.
We went hiking, camping, visited nowhere towns, we saw deserts, forests meeting the sea, mountains, lagoons and wild beaches. It was soul-enriching.

Going to AMERICA tomorrow morning!
I'll be taking three flights, and in total it will take me about 24 hours
to get from Cape Town to Chicago.

I'll be in the USA for 1 and a half months. Very excited.
I probably won't be on twoism much, so all the best for OoT4 and
all the voting I'll be missing. (I'll be sending my audio submissions today)

Peace and Love y'all!

Traveling is good for your health. Fantastic destinations everyone.

I'm spending 3-4 days in Yosemite mid-August.

When I heard of this I lol'd. It's like these people have never been outside for any reason other than to go to a store/school/work/friends place. Stop and smell the flowers people.
