I'm loving his new album Drift at the moment, Lovely beat-ridden stuff with lots of texture. There's track samples here:

finally got around to listening to full tracks...wow. i am suprise there isnt more buzz around this guy. great stuff. i really like heart entire.

Just listening to some of this guy's tunes now and wow man, he is talented as hell!

IOIO and Heart Entire are works of art. Did you guys know he is influenced by BoC? he picked his favourite albums on a Bleep.com feature HERE.

He's playing alongside Dam Funk, Joker, Martyn, Skream, Gaslamp Killer this October at Manchester's Warehouse project, gonna get myself a ticket!

I found it pretty aimless really. Some nice idea's but I got bored of it after 3 or 4 songs.

he's obviously good with gear, but overall i found the album way too clean and devoid of air.

'Fog' follows with a very clever combo of Europhile synthlines, equal parts BoC and Klaus Schulze mixed with super clean and heavy hiphop rhythms

Once again i do not hear BoC here at all. This comparison is officially "thrown around".

Neat stuff though. Although I'm not totally crazy about it. I like the flavor he hits on this record, it's a nice flavor, but it doesn't really do much imo, each song kinda just starts and is the same for a few minutes and then stops. that just makes it less appealing to me.

pretty much agree with everything you just said. Esp. the BoC comaprison. Nowadays BoC are a music journalist's touchstone when they want to say 'nice synths' and it's plain lazy.

Mind, maybe if they'd release a record or communicate with their fanbase somehow people wouldn't view them in such static terms

He's really awesome! Drift is one of my favorite albums of the year as well. On first listens I thought it was kind of boring, but after checking it a bit more I began to really enjoy it.

Nosaj Thing fans should check out Dorian Concept (if you haven't already...)... he's an Austrian and he's really incredible. His album When Planets Explode is really mindblowing. Plus he is a super talented synth player: (check also all those "fooling around...") vids.
