Thats quite a coincidence, yesterday I discussed the hotlinking issue with Chyld and I was about to post a sticky topic but thought it wasn't really necessary yet.

Well, here I go:

Hotlinking copyrighted material is not allowed unless you have permission of the owner.

We will turn a blind eye to mixes, mash-ups and samples because those are a great way to discover new music and therefore help the artists.

You can do all sorts of things with music.
You can listen to it once, twice, or as many times as you like.
You can do it by yourself or with friends.
You can give your favorite music as a present.
Perhaps you'll be given music as a present yourself.
Music you've never heard of and wouldn't otherwise have come across.
You can talk about music during the day in the record shop and at home or at clubs in the evenings.
Music is culture. And culture is life.
For only those to whom respect is given show respect themselves.
Music is valuable.
Those who love it, treat it accordingly:
Trust is good. Nothing is better.

by the way, there's is a really nice remix of zoetrope. it's made by a guy called nathan fake (http://www.nathanfake.co.uk/) and it has a bit more epic feel to it. doesnt beat the original but it's worth a listen, or ten.

there are rips when he played it on his proton radio set 01.28.04, it usually goes under the name
"boards of canada - zoetrope (nathan' s version)"
please provide it here; I can't seem to find it on soulseek.

it's a bootleg track so I guess it's ok to post here; it's not like it's somewhere on an original cd and I like to hear it.

maybe James Holden should do a remix of that bootleg :-) Because his remix of "Nathan Fake's the sky was pink" is great too.

That's good to know. I found a buried link to the leaked album, downloaded it, but couldn't bring myself to listen to it. It just felt to damn wrong. So I trashed it. 'Glad to see twoism has respect for the artists, especially BoC.

Oh, yeah, thanks for the blind eye to everything else

Someone give me their email address please. I'll send it to you (along with a few other odd BoC remixes and covers I've found) and you can put it up for mass consumption. I don't feel like figuring out how at this point.

I'd also like to get my hands on that Zoetrope remix. Can anyone hook me up?
I make music as Sweguno.
