twoism, we need your help. we started a band a while ago, and we are finally ready to start gigging.. but have been having the worst time coming up with a name.

you can't force these things, but we're just so ready..

jazz/rock/pop blend with guitar, bass, vox, synth/keyboard, trombone, saxophone, and drums

What are you guys into? I always like band names which reflect the vision or mentality of a group.. and it always sounds cool when you have a decent reason behind your name. Michael Gira chose Swans because they are beautifully malevolent animals, which I think says a lot about Swans back catalogue.

I was going spare trying to think of a name a while back actually. After a night where I actually gell asleep brainstorming I had a dream I was on stage as a guitarist in a punk band (I don't play guitar). But above the name was a banner with a logo of our name on it! And I thought "Yes! That's IT!" and actually woke myself up, scribbled down the name and went back to sleep knowing I'd come up with the best, most kickass name that was so obvious I couldn't believe anyone had never used before. When I eventually woke up again, I got as far as breakfast before suddenly remembering the dream, but not the name so I sprinted back upstairs to see what I'd wrote on the pad.

"Shroud Hug"

So yeah I didn't use that one, for obvious reasons. (WTF?) Its anyone's if they want it.
