That's so funny that you dislike the cassette version (though you've probably only ever heard the mp3 version of Old Tunes, but for the sake of this argument lets just talk about cassettes in general) yet you settle for the compressed sound of an mp3.

Give me vinyl and tapes. Though inconvenient, personally, I love them. I've ripped them to 320kbps though
But then again, I grew up with them. So I have a place for them. If you didn't, I can understand what you're saying.

There is nothing worse than over produced clear as a bell recording. I agree that the whole hissing on tape is part of the whole nostalgia, and I love it. It defines that time for them.

I'll break it down like this, what would you rather listen to without knowing what the sngs sounded like: Audiotrack 11 or Infinite Lines of Colorful Sevens? See what I mean?

anyway, my rant is over. can anyone see what I mean by my second reason?

Who cares if it has no name, if MHTRTC had no track names, would you dislike it?

There is all kinds of line-noise or tape hiss in those tracks.
I find it adds breath and space to the track. There is also a noise filter on one of the pads.
Check the first 2 mintues of Telephasic.

I don't think you understand. I love the two tracks you mentioned. I don't know how to explain that it is different hissing, unintended, and poor quality.
