There is nothing like a good adventure in the outdoors, I highly recommend to you the Inca trail in Peru, I did a four day hike on the trail to Machu Picchu and it was pretty magical..... Forest moon was the penultimate sound track to that adventure, when I was separated from the group, there was no one else to be seen and I had lush mountains and ancient ruins 360 degrees around, forest moon sneaked randomly onto my ipod... perfect timing











All this followed by a ride on the Urubamba river, more fun then you can shake a stick at (im the one the front right of the raft if you give a monkeys)

About time we bumped this thread I feel?

Took an early-morning (5:30am) trip out to a well-known locale for certain Twoismers this morning. Wandered a little further field....

I'm fortunate enough to live in a forest in central Ontario, north-west of Ottawa. I'll post some pics later of my backyard. It goes out maybe 40ft of grass then it's just bush for a ways. Complete privacy from neighbors, as my house sits back from the road, surrounded by trees. So I'm in "The Great Outdoors" everyday. It's fantastic! I wake up to the sound of birds chirping instead of vehicles going by, or anything else for that matter. For me, it's soooo much better than living in the city. I think I'll stay here for a good long time.

I honestly can't think of anything better!

Although the mrs and I live in a fairly rural location,we are never happier than when in the countryside. We are working on our long term plan to move out into a far more secluded place, right among the nature, not too far away from the sea.

After over a decade in an office job, my work for the past few years has been helping to look after some small but beautiful parts of the countryside.
I'm extremely lucky. Just something like seeing the change of the seasons progress on a daily basis feels like an incredible privilege in today's world.

Convenient bump, just got home today from 10 days in the French Pyrenees. No internet and barely any phone signal, stayed with my partner and family in their holiday home. Lots of hiking and cycling, but also plenty of delicious French food and wine. A brilliant, relaxing time. Sad to be back to reality in some ways.

This was the view from the house garden, I could live here, quite easily. So peaceful.

Final picture not mine, but this was the peak which I did a 7 hour hike around, climbing 1000 metres of elevation in the process. Saw many lakes and plenty of wildlife too.

I think the European, and especially French lifestyle is the one for me, culturally they have it spot on in my opinion. It was a great trip, apart from when I nearly accidentally stood on a Viper on one of the hikes, that was scary.

Yeah, we have friends in northern France. They LOVE it. Must visit at some point...

my favorite outdoor activity is playing disc golf

Spot of mountain climbing. Ben Vorlich, nr Loch Earn. Absolutely gorgeous, and a great day for it. I was absolutely fucked though, I'm so out of shape. My legs are still yanging.
