Is it me or is the record in the second picture covered in grooves?


I thought the original record only had a little section of grooves.

Also, if this venimdenim guy bought the record off of the original seller (he must have right?) then why is he trying to sell it for less than $4000 when he bought it for $5700?

The listing by this seller changed to a Buy It Now price of $4000 yesterday, but now the listing has been ended by the seller due to errors in the listing:

It's the winner of the previous auction. When winning the vinyl he thought there was only one copy worldwide... He now is trying to reduce his loss.

I know that's the likely answer, but that the means he's lying in the listing of the item (pretending to be the original finder who sold the record to a non-payer), which is also cause for concern, or at least clarification before bidding such large amounts of money.

true, they should be honest as most potential bidders would be concerned.

i bought a bass guitar for £600 last year on impulse, trying to sell it since.

I've been thinking about locating record stores that may be in likely cities in other countries for the other three records.. Was thinking maybe Regensburg, Germany, because of the live show they did there, but they're closed from Feb-June, so maybe not them..

Yes... I dare say the reason for his ambiguous listing description is not primarily because he's pretending to be someone else, but that he may be a wee bit embarrassed to say he was the buyer [who made a mistake blowing a load of money on it and is now trying to recoup], as this auction in itself is an admission of his mistake...

He shouldn't mention a previous 'non-paying bidder' as that is certainly misleading to suggest it hasn't changed hands... So it is wrong, but that remark could be explained as his conscious way of wanting to publicly dodge the subject / suggestion of who he actually is.

Everytime I think about this all I can think is "this shit is bananas". Although it's kind of an awkward situation I'm somewhat encouraged by the fact that the buyer realized it was maybe not the best decision. Because seriously? Banaynay.

No idea - but I would hope that is just the 'nearest applicable reason' he has chosen - for example if an arrangement has meant it is no longer in his possession. Surely he hasn't actually broken the vinyl...?

Nah, he's just running out of allowed ebay options to pull the auction.

First time he pulled it was because there was an error in the listing.

This time, it's because the item was lost or broken.

Would be nice to see it end up in a nice collection with someone who actually appreciates it, rather than it being continually whored out on ebay and discogs.
