A Winged Victory for the Sullen *New Album Nov 1st 2019*

Ryan, there's been a few 'issues' it seems with the shipments both sides of the pond. My order from Erased Tapes took about a week longer than expected and eventually shipped out of Germany. I think Kranky had some problems too in the US.thedisavowed wrote:Where did you order from Logan? Direct from Kranky?Logan71 wrote:My CD arrived yesterday, along with a beautiful poster.
One more for the 'to be framed' pile.
It's worth the wait if you've not had your LP yet
EDIT: fantastic interview here. Includes one of the best lines I've read in some time:
'Q. Will you be working together as Winged Victory again or is this a one off piece?
AW - We will do another one for sure. We have a few solid tracks left over from the first recording sessions, and we really had such a lovely time together in the studio. It was too rewarding to not try again.'

Well this is amazing, and I haven't even checked out Stars of the Lid yet, I'm gonna be in for 1 of the biggest treats in my life.Mexicola wrote:Y'see, I have almost exactly the opposite view! lolportiss wrote:I really liked the Sleepingdog album, but I do think I like this better just a tiny bit.
Love both of them a truly unhealthy amount though.

completely agree! the AWVFTS record is wonderful, but the stars of the lid releases are in a completely different league in my opinion. especially And Their Refinement of the Decline.Mexicola wrote:I actually envy you. You really don't know what a treat you're in for. Enjoyportiss wrote: and I haven't even checked out Stars of the Lid yet, I'm gonna be in for 1 of the biggest treats in my life.
That's the 1 I am listenin to today, and gonna put it on while falling asleep tonight. Heard the most of it already, but it's gonna be really good while falling asleep to.bleak. wrote:completely agree! the AWVFTS record is wonderful, but the stars of the lid releases are in a completely different league in my opinion. especially And Their Refinement of the Decline.Mexicola wrote:I actually envy you.
