Telefon Tel Aviv - Immolate Yourself
BARE WITH ME
It has vocals and IDM isn't its foremost sound, but it's fantastic nonetheless, and it does feel WARPish to me.

It sounds as if could have been made by Mean. This is the only song I could find from The L:
Untitled / Stonecipheco II from The L does sound more similar.

You are welcome Pete.
Why don't you give it a go and ask if he has the track played in the vid? https://soundcloud.com/andy-19-2

WTF is an IDM.
Like seriously most of it is just electronic music evolved out of so-called "dance" into something unique to itself. It seems to me no two big name "IDM" albums are terribly alike except that they are electronically produced and rhythmically "complex" or "difficult".
I mean isn't stuff generally found on labels like Chain Reaction, Rhythm & Sound, Modern Love, Blackest Ever Black etc. more "IDM" than the classic WARP/Rephlex type artist roster? Then why is that just called "dub techno"?
I mean are we using IDM to refer to a specific era rather than any one sound?

acid...house...ambient...illbient...industrial....whatever. it IS all just electronic music. at least thats how i label it. but some people need their slots to put things in.
dont let it ruin your day.

if you wanna break idm down...its to slow to dance to...but too fast to fall to sleep too. dance in your mind :)

im gonna stick to calling it all electronic music.

As an aside Ae, I accidentally left a track from an album called Musical Instruments From Prehistory: The Paleolithic on while listening to TUNER. And I must say they went amazingly together for some reason :D
