Amazing IDM albums that aren't on WARP.
I've been looking for out of this world, mind shattering IDM albums that are NOT on the WARP label.
To share, I have brought System Error's "Something Strange Has Happened",
And Gas's "Mathematics and Electronics".

Where to start, where to start... because that's quite the wide concept. Let's set your System Error (nice stuff) as a course example:
EU - Tuner Sadly never reached a wide audience.
EU - Complex
Esem - Sound of a Halo Album on Kahvi for free
Proem - When Frailty fails (Nice video)
Proem - Access Mike (Failure to Connect
Diagram of Suburban Chaos - Mental Wound
Speedy J - Actor Nine
Speedy J - Drill
edIT - Ants
Lexaunculpt- Le Elancholia Can someone fill an album with stuff like this please?
Enjoy!

I know The Flashbulb has stuff like that on his bandcamp. It's not close to Kashiwa, but it uses Piano elements.Aesthetics wrote:Wow! Spot on man!Really liking this "song" Stella.
Can't get enough of classical / orchestral / piano music which has been glitched up. Got any more of these recommendations?
Venetian Snares put out a release that reminds me of some old jazzy swing songs cranked up.

Edith Progue makes BEAUTIFUL tracks in my opinion.
That's all I know. Currently looking for more. c:

Loads of the early Planet Mu stuff (pre dubstep and juke era) is worth checking out.
Lexaunculpt - The Blurring Of Trees is one of my favorites.
Also Jega - Variance (2009) is full of treats like this:
Ovuca – Wasted Sunday (Rephlex)
Framewatcher is immense: http://framewatcher.com/
Yosi Horikawa :http://yosihorikawa.bandcamp.com/
NHK'Koyxeи two 'Dance Classics' EP's he released PAN recordings last year are good. He used to release on Skam :
I missed a ton of stuff out but not had my coffee yet.

Haven't listened to the others listed, but thank you for this. Really enjoying the album so far. Reminds me a little of TTA and some older Lusine a la http://ghostly.com/releases/lucky-numbersAesthetics wrote:

ps. there might be some warp albums there, not sure. Also missing some non-warp ones that aren't exactly esoteric, might post more soon.
I particularly recommend:
- Bedouin Ascent - Science, Art And Ritual
- Beefcake - Drei
- Bisk - Time
- Ilkae - Pistachio Island
- Lackluster - R U Oho? 12"
- Lucid Dream - Recovered Data 95
- Md - Appelsap (also Between Gaps)
- System Error - Nothing
- Tournesol - Kokotsu
And also most of the stuff under Merck and deFocus labels.

A sleeper artist.
"Near the Parenthesis"
his album "Of Soft Construction" really really got me good for a long time back when it came out.

Ambulance - The Curse Of Vale Do Lobo
http://www.discogs.com/Ambulance-The-Cu ... ase/162305
One the more overlooked albums on Planet Mu. Came out in 2003 and is still one the best albums the label has put out. Here are two choice tracks...
But seriously the whole album is just awesome!
