Personally speaking I'm gonna wait till it pops through my letterbox too.

I have a shitload of work on at uni till the 1st of June when I break up. I need something to look forward to in the meantime. If I hear it now it'll spoil everything. I can't wait to savour opening the package, smelling the contents, gently handling and examining the CD and free DVD and then cranking it nice and loud.

It had better be good!

(By the way, in case I change my mind , where did you guys download your copy? Can't see anything on Soulseek).

i like the mix. its odd's sound with boc not the other way around. fits well on the ep, and to me sound like 4 other tracks on the ep instead of one mix. very brian eno.........

I've tried seaching for 'Trans Canada Highway' and still get nothing at the moment. Tried 'Left Side Drive' and see nothing either. The search is working for other BOC stuff.

Just tried searching for 'Trans Canada Highway' on eMule. Managed to find a track by that name courtesy of one Mr Gene Pitney (God bless his soul). Do you think that will keep me going in the meantime?

I've noticed that in fact Skyliner and Dayvan Cowboy come up too but I have those already.

now that I've listened 4 or 5 times, I'm starting to skip both Dayvan and its remix. I've heard Dayvan 100 times already, and at the moment to my brain it feels out of place not following Peacock Tail.

the remix, well it could have used 4-5 minutes cut out from it. its almost too ambient for its own good.

but the new Boards material is excellent!

I totally agree, I've been listening to the 4 new tracks more or less all day now.

Mee too. With vinyl and CD both on the way, I still prefer to wait. Its one of the few things I can look forward to with the excited anticipation I once had when I was a child... hate to spoil that.

During a weak moment, I caved and downloaded Campfire before it was released, but never gave it a listen... same with the new PJ album... (golly, I'm like, soo rightous...). After reading this thread, tho, I am still rather up for the release!

ive got mine on pre-order (obviously) but couldnt stop myself from downloading the new tunes.. i was a bit worried having read a few twoism-ers views on the new tracks that it was going to be a let down but, 'left side drive' is fucking AMAZING! almost had me in tears... beautiful, beautiful stuff.

What's this 8 minute version of 'Heard from the telegraph lines'? It sounds like a Christ track, but it also could be BoC...or a decent fake perhaps. Cool track either way...

Search for Boards of Canada on soulseek and you have to find it i'm also on the test version.
