I'm more than capable of designing it, but when it comes to me sitting down and doing design work, I have 5 projects on the go per week with school so I have to use my time for that instead
This site's full of great creative minds though, maybe even a collaborative design can be made. I've seen some great album art from people too.

At the very least, we could have a few new site banners (assuming the current ones have been there for a while - I've only been here since the summer so I'm not sure). I'd be happy to pitch with a banner or two.

Thanks for your words and help Guido.
Let's do this a bit different. I have a design ready for like 95% and all I need are some tweaks on that. I need someone with good Photoshop / Paintshop skills to do some altering of the existing design and perhaps someone who could draw / design some 'pencil drawings'. This really shouldn't be about time..
I hope to get some help this way, if not I'll make a new topic soon.

Its probably not much help but worth a mention I guess..
I am a web developer but I specialise in Coldfusion (with html, jquery, mysql), ive never really given PhP the time of day.
I doubt your willing to re-write the system using a new language but if you were and considered Coldfusion id be all up in that shit and would love to be involved.
Someone mentioned in a recent thread about embedding youtube vid and such like, that is a cool idea, I could do it in CF, no idea about PhP though.
Also has anyone considered uploading images directly as opposed to using http services? I think that would be pretty cool, it would save uploading to photobucket and such like first etc.. Also on some threads like the photography thread, there is a lot of cool art work, it would be awesome to have an alternative way of viewing this stuff like in a gallery slideshow album kind of way.

This is a small forum and, aside from very sporadic donations, our dear lord and savior Aesthetics is the only one paying for server costs as far as I know. I don't think its in the twoism budget to have all that media in one place.

Yeah I guess your right dude, I didnt really think of that, all those lovely photos and what not that twoismers would upload could probably fill the deathstars hard HDD`s.
Well twas but a thought.

It would be awesome to have a collection of everything, aye. Especially when, in a few years, allot of the image-links will be expired.
Btw, I am learning PHP at school now...but I just had my first lesson yesterday so I'll be any help.I do want to help getting this done in anyway I can. I'm afread I'm only limited to Actionscript/HTML/CSS and a tiny bit of SQL (just basic queries and only in mySQL)/

edit: I cannot believe I had the complete lack of intelligence to suggest we switch to AEF. Agreed, PHPBB3 is likely the best choice for this forum's future.

Last call for a phpBB3.0 template/layout designer!
Due to security reasons I'm forced to update this board to phpBB3. I'll give it a few weeks to see if there is anyone interested. If not then I'll create something myself or use a standard layout.
Check out my first post for details.

I'm glad to see something concrete is finally happening with regards to the upgrade. Good luck!

During the upgrading process, Twoism isn't going to be down is it?

It will likely be down for a short time while everything is copied over. That being said, I do not have enough experience with administering PHPBB3 forums to be able to give you more specifics.
If nobody steps out of obscurity to (re)design a template, I propose that the software be upgraded and we just use a standard template until further notice. A custom design is nice and all, but what is really important about twoism.org is the quality of discussion that happens here. Looks are secondary, in my humble opinion.

while it's down- will you have updates on facebook/ twitter feed to keep us up to date on progress?

It's all a ploy.
BOC have requested the site go down so they can release the album in a media blackout. The BBC will announce a strike, MTV will be over-run by Lesbian Martian Braineaters and The Quietus will be far too hip to care (as usual).

I smell a potential low-budget science fiction film... something along the lines of
Invasion of the Bee Girls, perhaps?

Hey, I wasn't aware this was happening!
Aesthetics, I'm up for this. I have graphic design skills only, and I am currently unemployed. This would not only be fun for me, but would give me something to stick in my portfolio.
I am going to spend some time on this tomorrow. I'll do a partial theme first to give you an idea of what it would look like. If you dig it, I'll finish it. I don't quite understand how these things are put together, but I can save and edit the images that compose the example theme you posted. I'll also go ahead and read up on this a bit and see what else can be done with border shapes and whatnot.
If there are any other guidelines you'd like to give me, please do. Someone suggested a Turquoise-Orange-Black Color scheme, and I kind of dig it.
