if you're patient with it, it gets better trust me. a lot of boards of Canada tracks start out kind of whacked but then they change to an ingeniously beautiful composition of whacked, or they can just do a complete 360 and surprise the hell out of you with the first few listens.

basefree, telephasic workshop, an eagle in your mind and rue the whirl are good examples of tracks that get progressively better, giving the tracks an evergrowing narrative.

I had a feeling a lot of people would say 1969 and I was inclined to say it too, but honestly everytime I hear it I'm so captivated by the swirly dreaminess of the background, like someone said it sounds so "watery". It's such a great sound!
