Alright guys...there's something weird about this track, I know it. Someone do something...find out what the hell is happening in this track, I know there is a voice there! I KNOW the static in the background is some fucked up voice and it's driving me insane.

yeah the constant voice in the back of Chromakey Dreamcoat used to drive me crazy but you just gotta accept it, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

It's some kind of noise/voice/recording put through tremelo and a ring modulator and as a result... is kind of impossibly indecipherable as far as identifying the original sound. It's been put through the ringer.

I was screwing around with it years ago (I was younger) and I thought I heard a voice screaming and saying very bad things, it scared me so much that I haven't altered it since...but It's just now beginning to bother me again. I need to know.

YELLOW RECORDS! finally someone who is on the same page as me.
take the track and compress it down to 11sec. but first do an EQ pass on it for vocals.
compress time then vox pass.

that 'creaking wood sound' is vox slowed WAY down. you can hear the breath.

im telling you....i heard something. ive said it i wont say it again. tell me what you hear.

Maybe I didn't explain it well enough. Or I didn't do it right... :/

But I can tell there is something speaking through the entire length of the song with an extra voice at the end of it.

The extra voice being something like breathing or a sigh.

okay well I sped it up slowed it down reversed it and everything and... just no. You guys are way too paranoid. Sped up it sounds retarded... like someone took a ring modulator and sped it up lol.

That's all it is- it's some indecipherable sound source put through some sort of ring modulator or the like and probably some other effects. It's not a demonic voice... and it's not someone screaming. Though for all we know it could be someone sighing as the source of the sound but still... really?

This thread reminded me a of a comment I read on the youtube video for this track yesterday - look here - according to Scotty Anderson, Apparantly if you speed the track up to be 11.5 seconds its someone screeming, "we hate you all"

Is that what you're referring to OP? Did you read that elsewhere or hear it yourself when you tried manipulating the track? I'm not sure what to make of it myself.

As for the track itself, I'd just like to comment how much I love this one. The mellow keyboard / piano is such a great juxtaposition with the dark undertones. Great atmosphere, and the perfect buildup to You Could Feel The Sky. I think of these tracks as the 'darkest' stage of the album, right before the end.

i spent a WHILE filtering the piano...i seriously dont want to start over. but i have it somewhere and will post it if youd like.

but its probably a 'hear what you wanna hear' kinda thing. i just thought back then that that would have been funny. everyone was on this boc love tip. it was weird. geo came out and was all dark and cool.
i thought it what i heard was cool....in a joking kinda way. you know stick in something no one would suspect.

Hmm, I sped it up to about 11-ish seconds like someone said. I do hear a "hate you" in there, but I'm not sure if that's supposed to be it and I don't really hear "we hate you all".

I can just about hear how the synthetic Lion's roar type-noises could be constrained into something resembling "We - hate - you - all" if you count each individual 'roar' as one of the words. It's one of those cases where you could hear nearly anything once someone plants the seed in your conscience. Perhaps, the atmospheric noses, if they originally were vox, resembled something along the lines of this phrase at one point in time, but to suggest that it's purposefully being said feels so contrived. Yeah, I'm not convinced. I can't help but feel that if there actually was a hidden message in this song, it would have been written about on bocpages by now.

Anyway, thanks for contributing these, it was interesting nonetheless
