It looks like one of the 12"s is in Avalanche in Edinburgh:
I can't venture out due to personal stuff at the moment, but here's your heads up. Any of you find it, mine's a Deuchars

Not that I blame him for wanted to sell it considering how much it must be worth, but in a way I find it a little disappointing. If I'd got my hands on one of those records, I'd treasure it like nothing else.MindElevation wrote:The dude who found the first one in other records has stuck it on ebay.

$900+ already with still 6 days left on the auction.
And probably set to sky rocket now that Pitchfork just published an article on it. Can you get much better advertisement for your ebay item!? Christ.

I deleted the above quote because I saw someone had mentioned it elsewhere. But yeah, I'm a collector of BoC so I would for sure keep it.Yeah That's Right wrote:Not that I blame him for wanted to sell it considering how much it must be worth, but in a way I find it a little disappointing. a collector of boc without an urgent need for cashMindElevation wrote:I deleted the above quote because I saw someone had mentioned it elsewhere. I would rather sell my mattress and my clothes than this almost unique record. Yes, it is a tad disappointing.Infinite E wrote:a collector of boc without an urgent need for cashMindElevation wrote:I deleted the above quote because I saw someone had mentioned it elsewhere. Yeah fair play to him, he is obviously in need of cash for more important things and is sat on a goldmine. But money comes and goes. It is what it is. An almost one of a kind Boards of Canada vinyl promo for their first album in 8 years though? That shit is just too awesome to sell. I felt pretty ecstatic when I got a 1/500 kaleidoscope and a 1/500 aquarius single. So I would probably melt with happiness if I had a 1/6 vinyl record. Don't think I could sell it.Infinite E wrote:a collector of boc without an urgent need for cashMindElevation wrote:I deleted the above quote because I saw someone had mentioned it elsewhere. You......are far too good a person tbh.rainier wrote:I wouldn't have kept it. They're my favorite ever, but I'm not a collector, I only have records to listen to music in the best quality format, and it's not like it has much replay value. I'd take a pic of myself holding it, treasure the memory of finding it and then would have given it to my ex gf/good friend, who actually does collect records and is the biggest boc fan I know. Or I would have sold/traded it to someone who it would have been special to. The memory woulda been cool enough.
I just went in and spoke to the guy at lunch - he said they got it yesterday and sold it yesterday. Apparently people have been coming in, asking for it, thinking he was lying when he said no and continuing to try and find it in the vinyl section. He also seemed pretty pissed off to be getting another Boards of Canada question!Hunter wrote:That's funny. I had a good rummage through Avalanche on monday, couldn't find it, asked if they had it and got a no. There are a lot of records in there though and it would take a while to find it!
