I've noticed a lot of Magazine's had some great questions for the band and also some terrible questions .
Maybe this has been suggested before so forgive me if im repeating myself but why doesn't Twoism put forth a list of 10 questions for the band . We would vote for the best and submit them to Warp's press/media department . Since Twoism had already participated by embedding a code for the pre-release campaign I'm sure if our questions were well organized and delivered to the right people we would get an answer back .

The obvious question is: where woule 'we' publish it? Of course, anyone can stick any old interview on any old bodged-up website, but... how appealing is that?
If it was an "interview BY Twosim(ers) published BY [INSERT SOMETHING WORTHWHILE]" I think it would be do-able.
So, if you/we were serious about trying such a thing, I'd suggest finding a good 'outlet' on which to throw such an interview.
...a shame that London's best music publication ("The Stool Pidgeon") has just recently collapsed... could've thrown the suggestion their way...

I have a solid connection to the Arts and Entertainment section for Canada's National Post . I'm sure if we are looking for a publishing host they would love to run it .

Am I too naive for thinking this is just the sort of thing they'd rather do than talk a huge magazine? They say they don't care about publicity, so why would they want to maximize it every time they open their mouth.
The interview could be hosted just right here, as plain text in the forums. I think it would be one of the best ways to thank and acknowledge the long-time fans.

Do you, really? It's not that anything 'major' is needed to publish - I don't think that. But, at the least, a space would be needed to host. And even though I agree it doesn't have to be anything with a firm masthead, I *do* feel it would need to be a nice page, nice aesthetic (etc). For me the aesthetics are not important, but I understand your viewpoint. Maybe I worded myself a little badly in the last sentence, I meant doing the fan interview itself would be a great thank-you, regardless of how and where it's hosted.Snufkin wrote:Do you, really? As I said im happy to get people talking to the right people I just obviously can't guarantee anything .Though i'm very confident if we get everything on our end in order and maybe get a contact with warp in contact with the Post everything should be peachy .

Since the brothers seem to prefer to do their interviews through email, I don't see why there would be an issue with 'publishing' or whatever. We could complile a list of our best questions and then submit them to mdg or other Hexagon Sun official. Everyone in the BoC camp should be well-aware of the Twoism community by now. I think the brothers would comply

They try very hard, as we have learned from their previous interviews, to avoid comments/praise/criticism, getting a "false sense of what's good about [their] work", etc, so they probably just imagine coming to a place like here where (lets face it) a lot of people are pretty weirdly obsessive and hearing a whole lot of shit they just are not interested in hearing. Not, I guess, out of a lack of respect for their fans, by the way -- probably more so out of a higher respect for the music itself; a desire not to become warped by their fans' opinions, or to avoid creating music "for" their fans, and not just for the love of the music.
And at the end of the day, they quite rightly know that a lot of the fun we have here is dissecting their works and their mystique to find the hidden subliminals and messages and all that good stuff - why spoil that for us by coming here and just handing us the answers we're looking for?
This idea has been around for a long, long time, since TCH really - so I guess if it hasn't happened yet that's because someone asked and heard "no thanks". But I have no confirmation that anyone ever asked, obviously, so *shrug*. But if that is the case then it's not hard to imagine why.
