If you like them, check out Melody's Echo Chamber and her self titled album. The instruments for the album are dome by the dude from Tame Impala. Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Cults are some other bands I love that sound similar. And if You like Burial, check out 2562. I would start with the album Unbalance. It has a variety in sound that is absent in mainstream dubstep today. Btw, my favorite album from Beck is Modern Guilt, especially the songs Replica and Youthless.

Still jammin out to Black Moth Super Rainbow! Their early stuff reminds me of early BoC a little.

- I've heard Melody's Echo Chamber, ...eh. If you want to hear some nice side projects from Tame Impala, go with Pond, Gum, Shiny Joe Ryan, Allbrook/Avery, Nicholas Allbrook, etc.
All great side projects of Tame Impala
- I like UMO a lot, but Cults were very middle of the road.
- 2562 is alright, Unbalance has its moments, his follow up, Fever, was less engrossing.
- I personally feel that Modern Guilt is pretty underrated. I think its really strong, only 10 tracks and 33 minutes, and most of it's pretty great.

- Sea Change is less easy to tear apart as a record, it's better to put on and listen to from start to finish. But ask me on any given day, any of Beck's first 5 records could be my favourite. (and I'm talking Mellow Gold, Odelay, Mutations, Midnite Vultures, Sea Change, his major label stuff)

Aw man, I had no idea you knew him Ian! I recommended a track of his for Mexi to put on the tapes but we didn't get around to playing half of them haha.

I actually did a presentation + mini-dissertation on him for a project during my A levels, because I loved his music so much. It is very odd how he had a massive influence on people like Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour and the rest of the modern fingerstyle lot, in fact he invented many of the so-called 'extended techniques' they now use, and yet the music is not well known amongst listeners.

Breakfast in the Field is one of my favorite albums of all time and a real triumph for subtlety, rhythm and heart. AB is a great album as well, Rickover's Dream apparently made Leo Kottke dizzy when he first heard it! He was an excellent communicator and from what I've seen of him when he was still alive through concert footage and interviews, a really solid guy.

Shame he died so young really.
