Significant Others' Botched BOC Track Titles

Post by azamarro »

Today my wife named a track as "Sixty Corn Hieroglyph". Any similar occurrences?

That is a difficult one. A kind of mental blur of sixtyten and Iced cooly beatnik? I am literally intrigued as to what it is now.

More like a really vague mix between Sixtyten, Korona, and Hiscores.

I've never heard anyone mis-name a BoC track, but a friend of mine, when talking about one of the tracks from Exai, described it as "the big clunky one." I still don't know which one he was thinking of.

The Racoons. It was a Canadian cartoon I used to watch as a child.

All of them? :D

(but seriously, I'd wager on "recks on". Those drums do have a big, clunky feel)

No one's ever butchered a track title, but one time a friend wanted to listen to some BoC in the car, so he said "put on that weird trippy music with the little kids."
Red -
Orange - Aquarius
Yellow - Alpha and Omega
Green -
Blue -
Purple - Music is Math

My ex still calls all the music vaguely like BOC or SOTL 'plinky plonk'. It's probably a fair description ;-)

Yeah, that's what we settled on, but I still don't know which he could have been referring to. My first guess was bladelores, but it was probably something more like Flep. They're all possible, though.

It was Sixtyten.

I gave her the hint "Sixty..." when the track came on to see if she could guess it. I figured listening for all these years she might remember one! :/

Don't bother trying azamarro, my girlfriend has taught me that some people simply can't remember track titles, even if it's a band they like.
