Suddenly Emptied Rooms, And The Ghosts That Live There.

A new Polypores album. This was all written and recorded in a 2 week period following a breakup 3 weeks ago. It's pretty ambient/droney sounding. I wasn't even sure whether or not to release it, but a few kind souls listened to it and convinced me I should. I figured I'd do it outside of a label release so I could get it out there quickly.




I used a lot of tape recordings I'd made of various hums and noises which I heard in my house, where I'd obviously been spending a fair amount of time. A lot of "ambient"-type music tends to focus on the outdoors. Instead I wanted to capture a certain claustrophobic loneliness that you find inside an empty house with a lot of memories.

Mexicola liked it and suggested I should share it here. Hope you enjoy it, as much as it is possible to enjoy something sad.
