Progress down the path to the collective Orwellian nightmare known as our future! Can't wait!

As unnatural as it is, war would still be a better alternative than the complete forfeit that the liberals seem intent on.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH
War is never better. War is the most aweful thing in the universe.
A lot of people I've talked to lately seem to have a horrible attitude towards war. From statements like "it would help the economy" to "its less boring then...". Obviously people have forgotten what pain, torture, the smell of burning flesh and the unavoidable feeling of impending death and the shameful act one does to survive them is all about. I wish I was born in the 50's. My generation are a bunch of retards. The devil is inside them. (obivously I don't mean you drillkicker)

I dont think the previous generation have too much to be proud of either to be fair. I recall my Grandparents generation saying things like 'We need a good war' whenever things got tense somewhere in the world. Keep the numbers down, that kind of thing. I also seem to recall BOC of all people saying they welcomed collapse in one of their post TH interviews? I could be misquoting there, in which case I apologise in advance.
However, isn't it a sad indictment of us as a species that wiping part of the slate clean to start again sometimes seems like something positive? Why should we get to a point when slaughter is preferable to working things out?
That's not a dig at DK either by the way. Just a reflection on us as a species I guess?

Oh I'm sorry, but that seems like a subjective statement that you're trying to pass off as proven fact. I know that war isn't nice. It's completely alien and shouldn't exist. But I would prefer the sudden horrors and quick death of war to the slow and deceitful death that globalization heralds. At least the former is something humans have dealt with in the past.

I'll take a look later, at work now.
Putting mod hat on for a sec, I think the thread is getting a little off topic. Someone want to find a more suitable thread for this and I'll tidy it up later tonight. Cheers.

My personal feelings are that it is a reference to the collapse of society to the extent that people need to really evaluate what it is to be human and what it is to be self sufficient and not in a symbiotic relationship with a, by nature, volatile construct. Such a thing would be a positive change with pain involved. Like the kind of pain my ex is inflict... Never mind.
A lot of painful changes yield positive results but war is never an answer to that.

It's good for economics.
As long as there are people there always be war and fights sad-fully. You'd expect that we as humanity become smarter and more understanding but in contrary, it divides us more and more
