That's on heck of a BOC purchase.

Fixed. 8)

But yeah, that is quite the price for a vinyl containing less than a minute of music. Someone out there must have a serious amount of disposable income.

If BOC were ever in a bind, they can simply release another short snippet with their name on it and they'd be raking in the cash.

The fact that they don't do it speaks miles about their artistic integrity.

Edit: Friends and family also told me I was crazy for buying an Aquarius single for 150, but I really tip my hat to this guy. He's the true BOC maniac

Could you imagine what you’d feel like if you paid such a substantial amount of money, for something 1 MINUTE IN LENGTH. ‘piece of history’ or not 1 min isn’t much at all for the price! I wish people didn’t squalor so much time, energy & cash for something to probably stay on the shelf on which you keep it, never to be played. Saying that it’s just the price that annoys me, and this rant is over.
imagine if it was scratched, how would you feel?

Tbh, he's probably trying to relive the glory days of 2013. Hope we'll see those again soon

I’d crowdfund $2500 in a heartbeat if it’d give us another minute of Wouldn’t You Like To Be Free.
preparation for a dive.

Love this idea so much. Please let this happen. The things that could be done with $2500. A new unreleased BOC album maybe worth $2500. But not the ARG record.

I think the fact that there is supposedly only 3 copies of the ARG record makes it more rare, Whether on the other hand the albums are mass produced. I know when hoping for a new BOC album it’s quality over quantity but with this sale the amount you’re getting for the money is not something that’s favourable to me. :(

It's 6 the exact the number of copies
Record Store Day 2013 promotional record, with so far only 4 copies found of 6 known to be in existence.

I think that I read somewhere that they printed more for the store owners just to make sure they wouldn't keep the copy of the promo record that was supposed to be found by an anonymous fan.

Do you think thatthe video of the guy (Mike Paradina's friend) breaking the BoC cassette tape was real? I am wondering...

I can no longer edit the post.

My question was: "Do you think that the video of the guy (Mike Paradinas' friend) breaking the BoC cassette tapes was real? I am wondering... I don't know what the consensus on this is".

I really doubt it's real. They were in need of cash at the time and were selling those cassettes for a lot. They probably made print out copies and smashed it, while trading the real thing privately. Which is wise.

Honestly, I doubt there'd be another blow up like that nowadays. We all go through those passionate BOC phases and seemed a lot of people went through that all at the same time. Whenever someone puts up a BOC Maxima copy now, it's like "Well good luck to whoever buys it."

to the left, the "real" tapes. and to the right, the ones that were destroyed. i've always thought they looked different
imo the ones on the right look "newer", the paper looks straighter, and off center compared to the tapes on the left. don't know if anyone else sees the same, could be the lighting

so basically, to quote Echelon,
Echelon wrote:I really doubt it's real. They were in need of cash at the time and were selling those cassettes for a lot. They probably made print out copies and smashed it, while trading the real thing privately. Which is wise.
but honestly does it even matter if they were destroyed or not? its definitely funnier
on second thought, i'd rather have the guy that bought boc maxima record himself destroying it than letting the tape collect dust on his shelf. because there's no way he's going to properly rip it for us to hear. he could be using the j card as toilet paper for all i know
yes, i would love to be free!
