R.I.P. BOC kaleidoscope :(

Post by Kyla »

Someone broke into my parents house while I wasn’t there and stole my BOC kaleidoscope, a bunch of stuff like my baby pictures (in cam case) and my camera. Oh and threw garbage everywhere. This town’s homeless crisis is getting bad.

This happened in the spring, but I just noticed my scope is missing!!! I cried. I know it’s just an object but it was the last thing I had after having to sell a lot of my stuff over Covid.

What kinda frame Graham Greens The Destructors type shit is this? I have really bad OCD too And this drove me beyond. Why are people so shitty?

Tom Waits describes these types of people as Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I wish I could console you, not a happy read.

My Condolences for your loss. But as many a wise man has said - It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

One may look at this situation in a positive light. Perhaps for example the perpetrator might peer through the magic window and gain some personal insights into their unsavoury methods of material procurement, giving them a deeper understanding of their actions.. Perhaps the beautiful and colourful fractal patterns might spark some ancient inherited memory from the dawn of human conscience and lead them towards a greater understanding of their part in this great theatre of life.

Perhaps the item might fall into the hands of a child, who has never seen such a beautiful toy, bringing them some joy and wonder in what could be a harsh and loveless world that they exist in.

Whatever the fate of the object, we must trust this universe in that everything which happens, whether positive or negative, may serve the greater purpose of bringing healing, understanding and ultimately a higher state of consciousness for the entirety of humankind.

Namaste

This sucks ass. Seriously horrible. I'm sorry that this world is so chaotically-balanced, words can't describe how I begin to feel for you.

Some people out there have zero genuine understanding of their environment or surroundings, let alone other peoples'.

All I can say is that I hope it finds its way back in your hands. Who knows? Perhaps not gone for good. Or maybe it is. Both are real possibilities.

They sold it for drugs. Best case scenario: It ends up in the hands of a pawn shop owner who knows its value. Forgive my bluntness, I live in a shit neighborhood and am just glad the gas station round the block from my place hasn't exploded from any stray campfires.
P.S. Pull my finger

I imagine if an addict went to a dealer to exchange a kaleidoscope for drugs they would probably end up getting stabbed..
