Ulrich Schnauss - "Goodbye"

Post by Derail »

Can't wait for this shit!!! Info taken from Ulrich's myspace blog, just thought I'd give yall a heads up if you didn't know.

"apologies for the everlasting silence throughout the last half year.
i had a very precise idea about what the third album was supposed to sound like - while this usually is a good thing it became increasingly difficult to re-create that sound in the studio -
however, in the last couple of months i finally had a bit of a breakthrough situation and am now really happy with the way it all sounds.
thanks for your support, ulrich.

ALBUM 3
ulrich´s third album "goodbye" has been mastered last week and will be released in the next 3-4 months on independiente (europe) and domino (us)."

My most anticipated release this year for sure!!!

I use to love driving around the countryside in the rain listening to him last spring. Heading out to the shack where I kept my drums get a little practice in.

I miss having a car... :(

i don't know if this'll be the case for his new album or if you'd consider it a progression but he was using a female vocalist when he was touring about a year ago.

Yeah, Far Away Trains is an excellent album. My girlfriend gave me that for Christmas because she read in the paper it was for "fans of BoC" and thought of me. You'd love it! I like it better than A Strangely Isolated Place, which is great in it's own right.

Personally, I could never tell the difference between them. They go together very well.

If anyone's interested I dug up this site which has tracks from the upcomming album and a nice little interview with Mr. Schnauss himself. He states that some of the tracks will sound different on the album and there will be a good amount of vocals. This sounds incredibly lush.

Great, now I'm fucking addicted. I can't believe he was in Seattle with M83... had I known I would have hitch hiked.
