Release date for new album
Sorry to trick you into this with the heading!
1998 MHTRTC
1999 Peel..
2000 IABPOITC
2001
2002 Geogaddi
2002 Twoism (re-release but still a release)
2002 Hi Scores (same as above)
2003
2004
2005 The Campfire Headphase
2006 Trans-Canada Highway
2007 ???
__________
83 official tracks so far.
The way i see it, they will release another single or ep next, maybe this year or next year.
But i would say no new album till end of 2008 start of 2009.
Seems to be 3 releases then a break, 3 releases then another break etc since being on Warp.
They need two more full albums to finish with warp's contract.
What is your thoughts on this. you think they go in a 3 release stages?
To me it looks kinda right.

Taken from Watmm:
i suppose you can choose not to believe me, because i probably wouldn't, but i talked to a friend of mine from warp last night and he said the new boards album is already done. he hasn't heard it yet, so i have no news as to what it sounds like, but i'm guessing we can expect it fairly soon. exciting, no?

That's common knowledge from one of their interviews.Infinite E wrote:hahaha yeah. When the warp newsletter says there is an album, that is when there is an album. Although I was interested to hear they have two albums left on their warp contract. Where did you hear that?
According to the dutch interview for OOR magazine by Koen Poolman: "They still have a contract for three more albums with Warp".
One of those is Trans Canada Highway, so still two left...

Trans-can. is not an album, its an ep.
there contract is for 5 albums as they said in that interview. so two more to go.
wonder if they would stay with warp after the 5th album?
I am thinking they are going to make the next album abit more main stream than Campfire.
Adding some lyrics to there music, maybe even getting more of a real band feel to them. i just hope they dont put something out like Zero7 or Air
Maybe they got the ISB or even MBV to feat. on a track or two. That would be sooo COOL!!!!

well i hope too that they don't do something like air or zero 7 ... don't get me wrong i love both those bands .
I think we could very well see lyrics . perhaps even some throw backs from the past like midas touch or trapped .
or maybe they will work with artists like thom york , or beck . or clouddead on vocals .
i think it will be as much as a departure as daft punks discovery was from homework . then After that we will be in for something very dark this is what i hope . I would also not mind if they just put out some of there old stuff that didn't fit on there other albums . maybe they will also suprise us with a dvd of there work . In my opinion they have transended the boundary of just music or just a band . So hopefully they will branch out in all areas of there talents . Borads of canada the movie (a documentary would be awesome how NFB of them) . borard of canda the placemat boards of canda the flamethrower etc ...

I fucking hope they don't work with clouddead!!!! I don't really want any vocals, but cloudead would be awful. What I'd like is something way darker, not the uncomfortable trippiness of geogaddi but a proper scary album. maybe along the lines of June 9th, which has always been one of my favourites just because it's so different from their other stuff.

not another june 9th or towism, but along the, kinda, same lines maybe. but with the ISB or MBV feel.
lol really want ISB to be on the next album!
clouddead would suck on a boc album! donkey balls i say! donkey balls!
let's agree to disagree on the matter.. i think cLOUDDEAD is great!boardsofdublin wrote: clouddead would suck on a boc album! donkey balls i say! donkey balls!
the remix of dead dogs two is just epic! gotta love Dose One's voice though... it's like B Real from Cypress Hill, either you love him or you hate him.. and yes I do love him but not in *that* way
