Did we ever find out what it all meant really?

The cordinates combined with the date and the red moon were pretty explicit in their meaing (to fanboys anyway
) but that cipher is an absolute bastard. I had a pretty good crack at it even writing a bit of C code to have an attempt at a brute force attack but it all came to nothing. There's just not enough of it to get to work on and make use of any of the usual frequncy analysis tricks. It's possibly quite simple but it defeated me anyway. I had fun.
I would have driven up to the co-ordinates on the night but I had something else to do. Still wish I had though.

So..we're sure it wasn't October 6th of last year instead of June 10? Err
The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.
