If I had a copy of the 7" I would definitely colour mine. Boards of Canada is my music. No one else I know listens to it. Why not take it a step further and make it my own creation.

Has anyone noticed that music that is yours carries a lot more of a meaning than just being music?

Ok, you are entitled to having your own opinion. Actually I can relate a bit to you, especially the post before me.

I know what you mean with "your music". But when I buy an expensive, rare record I do it mostly for the sake of collecting. I would never pay 28 pounds or more for this particular piece. As a matter of fact I probably wouldn't want it for free. In terms of record collecting this record has been degraded severely by the owner (or his girlfriend).

I can see both points of view, and I am not going to buy this record anyway. I am the the thread contributer.

While I can certainly understand the point of view of the collectors aghast at defacing a rare record, I'm sure Boards of Canada would side with the girlfriend here :)

It's strange how second hand record prices fluctuate. I recently bought a near mint MHTRTC 10" promo for 25 pounds.
