favourite BOC moments and quirks
My favourite BOC moment would have to be that synth interlude that comes in at around 2:34 in sixtyniner. This synth melody pretty much sums up BOCs sound for me and is just plain gorgeous.
Also, Dandelion in reverse is amazing. The melody sounds much better in reverse IMO

Ooh! I've got one!
I've tried Dandelion in reverse as well! It is quite mesmerizing!
My favorite BOC moments change a lot. Right now, I am a huge fan of Happy Cycling. I love listening to the track all the way though... waiting for the payoff 5 minutes and 7 seconds into it when it switches gears! Every time I hear it, it sends me into euphoric shock! It only works for me if I listen to the whole track. That whole thing is a treat and I try not to listen to the song that much as to not lose the effect it gives me.
Some other all time favorite moments are...
Nlogax (Particularly when the spooky psychedelic sound fades in)
The out of tune "chorus" part of Oirectine
All of 1986 Summer Fire (Particularly the LP version. It sounds more degraded)
The creepy out of tune interlude at the end of the track Twoism
The amazing sound that happens 28 seconds into '84 Pontic Dream
The background synthy fourishes in Telephasic Workshop
The flourishes in the background of Rue The Whirl that come in around 1 minute and 12 seconds.
There's a zillion more... that was all I could think of off the top of my head.

Ahh, BoC's music has been full of great moments for me. Namely...
The first time I heard Chromakey Dreamcoat. The wierd guitars just come out of nowhere after Into the Rainbow Vein.
That cool sound 28 seconds in on 84' Pontiac Dream. I know someone had mentioned this. It's such an amazing and colorful little sound.
The first time I heard MHTRTC and how the music put so many different images into my head.
The way Everything You Do is a Balloon changes at 1:42.
The sweet synth line in Nlogax.
Reading and listening to all the messages and secrets in Geogaddi.
The "I Love You" in An Eagle in Your Mind.
countless others...

The sample of the guy saying "Watch it!" and all the other chopped up dialogue in Sixty Ten. (I finally understood a LOT of the dialogue on a plane towards Moscow last December while listening thru noise cancelling headphones. They really allow you to hear more detail).
When the bass drum starts really kicking at 4:10 in Telephasic Workshop, along with all the chopped up dialogue.
The forboding feeling Alpha Rainbow gives me.
Amo Bishop Roden.
The Devil Is In The Details.
Peacock Tail.
Tons of other moments are up there, but I can't think of them now.

theres a sample played backwards (which they play fowards in one of their live sets .. i think its the ATP one..) in 'sixtyten' which says something like 'theres a lot of different me's you know, the sad me or when im angry' (something like that anyway) and it seriously sends shivers down my spine everytime i hear it. my fave boc 'quirk' probably.... actualy no, thats just one of thousands !!

Also Smokes Quantity is pretty badass, right when the drums get there. That songs reflects how I feel about the world half the time - a little fucked up and sad.
But then Olson reminds me that everythings gonna be alright.
