Magic Window

Post by ryetronics »

So what is the deal with this last track on Geogaddi? I've turned my speakers up full blast and haven't heard a single sound. Is it completely empty, or am I missing something?

Everything BoC does is that way for a reason. They put serious thought into everything. When I listen through Geogaddi straight through (once in a blue moon)...I listen straight through, until the end of Magic Window. You've still got imagery and colors floating around in your mind...it provides a minute to reminisce and think. Brilliance.

...but I feel bad for anyone who bought Magic Window on iTunes or a downloading program, haha.

I think they incorporated Magic Window so they could make the cd 66:06 in length.

Yeah, love that engraving. Very nice touch to an already impressive vinyl pack

I've read somewhere (so who knows how credible it is) that it could be some sort of frequency the human ear cannot hear. Either way, it does round off the running time to 66:06 and I agree that the silence does add a nice touch.

I like when this track comes on when I have my nano on shuffle - always throws me for a loop for a second as I wonder why a new track didn't come on. I never skip it though.

Side F isn't playable: "<i> side f contains no playable grooves. instead a silhouette pictogram of a man, a woman and two children (pictured) is etched into the surface (this same image is printed inside the disc packet of the limited cd version)</i>"

See xltronic for details and a bigger picture of side F.
